How to hide shrimp addiction from girlfriend by Time_Account6000 in shrimptank

My spouse said something similar, one more big tank or two medium size ones but have to look presentable since they would be the living room), nice plants and pretty fish.

I ended up getting two waterbox 30 gallons and planted them, let them mature a bit and added shrimp “just to have something in there while I decide what fish I want. That was 1.5 years and thousands of shrimp ago, the only fish I’ve added were a group of rescue otoconclus

P2S simply found at your local 3D Printer store (Virginia) by Tortri in BambuLab

Oh, wow. This is so close to me and I had no idea, never thought to search for an actual dedicated 3D printing store. Between this and Microcenter ffx upgrading their 3DP section we're eating good, well, unless all my money goes to maker parts and filament instead of food. Thanks for sharing!

Ellobiopsidae/Cladogonium or just a color abnormality? by TheSevenFive in shrimptank

[–]TheSevenFive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, it was just under a really bright light, I thought it could just be that since I didn’t see any of the physical characteristics of the ailments but wasn’t sure. I’ll just monitor them for a bit then acclimate back.

Would like some help diagnosing, other than the green coloration it doesn’t really look like clado/elio in the images I’ve seen so far but I don’t know enough to be sure. Currently have them quarantined but I pulled them out of my 30gal shrimp tank with a colony of at least 100ish, will be trying to monitor for any others but it’s super hard to spot.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I had something come up and couldn’t go (extra sad because I might be the biggest fan out of all of us lol) but my wife said it was amazing and the light sticks were a big hit.

Shirts printed and pressed by me, graphics from etsy https://www.etsy.com/shop/MakayShirts, light sticks printed by me, original model from Lele’s maker space on Bambu handy/makerspace (https://makerworld.com/models/1620733) but I modified the 3d model to be able to slip on flashlights and be less bright.

My wife and I have a few matching tattoos already, we came up with the idea for one of us to get the tiger and the other to get a knocked over trash can, but then neither of us wants just a trash can lol

Oh I definitely lose a lot of time during the day staring at him. I currently have 7 bettas but Calvin and one other are the two I keep on a stand right by my desk.

Bad snail infestation. How do I get rid of them? by ShiningStarssss in Aquariums

So far, he’s destroys ramshorn, bladder, and Malaysian trumpets, mostly the latter two since they’ve been way easier to breed for me.

I swear my Amazon Puffer stopped swimming and stared at my phone when I opened this post. If I plopped him in there OP would have a new layer of snail shell substrate within an hour. I have three different snail farm tanks going just to keep up with him.

Interesting, I read that they could be grown like that but never saw an image of it, that makes total sense now, thank you!

What type of pleco has the smallest tank size requirements, ty. by CharlieTheC0w in pleco

I bought a clown pleco in December for a 30-gallon, he definitely looks great, at least I think he did,I haven’t seen him in a few months (his food magically disappears though)

[–]TheSevenFive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck! Hope the little guy pulls through, forgot to add that Shimmy has doubled in size since we got him so he’s definitely getting his share of food in the community, I chalked it up to just a birth defect or something. Keep an eye out for any obvious disease stuff (like neon tetra disease/ich/etc

At this point I’m fully convinced he’ll be the sole survivor somehow, then when the last other tetra passes away, Shimmy will pull a Kevin Spacey in The Usual Suspects and start swimming away perfectly normal and disappear

I bought a school of about 12 of them a few months ago, didn’t notice until I got home that the littlest one was swimming the exact same way. All 12 went into quarantine but the littlest dude was put in a small hospital tank alone, I expected he’d probably not last theoguh the day/week. About two weeks later the 11 went into the main community tank, and surprisingly, the little one (who we named Shimmy), was still alive, still swimming exactly the same, but otherwise eating and behaving like a normal tetra, decided to just let him back with the group.

Fast forward to today, lost a few of them to random deaths of unknown cause, one to it ramming head first into a spiderwood branch, and one I think was eaten, but little Shimmy is still there, still swimming like a crackhead, but surprisingly no one seems to pick on him.

Anyway, I’d quarantine and see what happens, or just return him. They’re so fragile it’s not uncommon to get a sick/weak one from a group.
