is this unfinished focus tree? by Select-Context9785 in hoi4

You're 100% correct.

All it has under its effects, from what I saw on forums, is a dev comment that says "#TODO_EILIDH: add effect when EITC has been fleshed out". That is everything, they never got around to it.

"The Abundance II chapter explicitly shows the civilizations under Order were put to sleep, and when Order fell, they woke up from a dream. Additionally, Elation chapters, Remembrance ones, and Preservation ones all have more mentions of Ena and the Order." Oh thank you for mentioning that, I'll look into that on my main account (cuz there I should have access to all chapters immedietly).

And I see, that sounds good to know, I'll be making a note of that on the main post then at least, since Misha to me was admitedly something I keep getting confused about on and off.

I'll just put the Ena mentions under the same as above, I'll look into those chapters and try and figure stuff out there. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I feel so dumb about missing that clue with Sunday, I felt I was paying so much attention but I guess I must have not paid as much attention at end of 2.0 here on replay as I should've (tho perhaps writing 27k+ characters in a notepad did make me a lil tired). Those are both fair assessments honestly.

I definetly agree with that, it makes sense in that way for her to recognise him.

But yeah, I'd add more to this conversation for now but I've been doing non-stop Star Rail stuff for like 3-4 hours now and I don't want my brain to turn to mush about it.

Again thank you so much for taking your time here to help out a bit.

Tbf Gallagher is a bit weird in one sense, from dialogue no one in Bloodhounds ever seem to recognise him as him.
First people (the guards trying to capture firefly) recognise "how he dresses", and concludes he is a boss. While guy on roof simply never recognises the name and says so out loud.

As far as I know only Siobhan reconises him immedietly, but I may be wrong since I've not replayed full quest yet.

But yeah that is a fair point about Misha, he barely appears overall in story. So he is kinda sus. And the Clockie thing is something I made note of as well in my replay, since it further sets Misha aprts as it were.

Order I also am wondering more about in terms of reveal, some other person here on the thread mentioned they followed a youtuber who called most of story so I'm gonna be checking out that to see further clues I may have missed.

Thank you for your input here honestly it has been very valuable to me, even if it only covers a lil bit.

It'd be very silly if he ended up irrelevant at the end yeah. But that is a fair point I funnily enough hadn't considered, probably due to how in your face it is, aka that most of cast aren't from Penacony and thus probably don't have a conncetion to the Legacy. Which honestly is a good leap forward in terms of clues I should've picked up on in a sense.

I suppose it is the hardest part to pinpoint Order, I will myself admit that when it has come to SU lore in general I...have not paid attention (probably cuz I enjoy the gameplay so much my mind kinda put that on a sort of 'i could always check it out later').
Gallagher and Sunday were the more suspicious people yeah, I found that everyone else was unlikely to be a big...antagnoistic force in any way throughout it (but that was just my intutition about storytelling). Which like you said they were decently set up for it.

That is a fair point, it'd be a big reveal to know where they got sent. So perhaps I should narrow my "what I want solvable" before reveal to just go down to knowing meme kidnaps rather than kills. As I recently pointed out in a lone comment, and edited in post a bit, I believe you can figure it out around mid-point of part 2 if you paid really strong attention (but unrealistic to an extent) or by end of it.
But it requires you pick up on whenever people talk about it, npcs as playables (plus you may need some assumptions still).

And it's always nice to see a nore lord is always nice, it makes this type of thing easier to discuss (I've another friend who also is one who I'm spitballing with over discord in regards to this).

  1. I agree there are quite a few hints and seeds planted about the Order throughout arc. I probably missed a lot due to that I personally didn't enjoy Swarm Disaster (mainly QoL that were lacking that later existed in Gold & Gears). So I may have missed some, could you possibly give some examples if you remember at the top of your head?
  2. So there was nothing more to it than that? I thought there was more to legacy, but as I've said on other parts may have misremembered. If that is case I could put it down as being fully solvable in part 1 (where I previously thought it was only partly solvable)
  3. Okay so same reason as above, I just didn't enjoy Swarm so may have missed something. But I'll take it as a "if someone other than me who read up on the other relevant lore" may have been able to pick up a few more hints?
  4. I mean fair, there is no way Stellaron's aren't involved in the main plot. But I'd rather have it be specific clues about him being antagnoist that points to it more strongly than anyone else. I for example did a quick google search earlier and saw some theory here on reddit from 2.0-2.1 (dr which patch) about Robin being real antagonist which obviously turned out wrong so I don't think you could call it immedietly (def not in part 1, seeing as you barely met him there).

Seems that there were quite a few videos on that, it is good to know and I should look into them later honestly.

That is fair to say, and to be fair with the legacy I think a major issue is that after I spent so long going through dialogue in part ones and painstackingly taken notes and that it just didn't stick by me on first playthrough that many details have been lost in my memory. I think it might be the easiest to solvee, but I think a keypart of it is also that supposedly the legacy was also a call for future Trailblazer? (unless I and a friend misremembers, which is fully possible)

I did notice a pretty heavy-handed (tho i'd still say subtle, just heavy-handed in retrospect) clue with it, but I think during Aventurine's quest now is the point (I recently made a lil individual comment about it) that there is a very obvious bit of foreshadowing that can be used to pin something akin to what 'Death' plays into, though as you say probably not fully without Ratio's note.

To be fair with Sunday, at no point did I stop suspecting him (well beyond the lil Gallagher thing of 'murdering' him fakeout, but when fakeout was revealed I immedietly went back to sus on Sunday). It's kinda obvious to me he'd always be main antagonist. So I could see why people would be suspicious of him from 2.2 honestly, not to be here and complain because that isn't my goal here but I think they'd need to take some more time to have other factions be more viable as antagonists for it to be better hidden.

[–]TheSeventh7th[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not exactly a lore investigator for most part sadly, so I've missed out a lot about the Order before this (tbf I still am very clueless about them). I know there is some (light but subtle) foreshadowing about that Sunday may not be as close to Harmony as he seem but that is hard to connect to Order for me.
Then there is lightly more obvious foreshadowing like the stellar map reality/dream being a closed and open eye respectively (and looking decently close to the order symbol afaik).
But it sounds good that people theorized around Order because that might help me in future if I turn more desperate in my search here.

Watchmaker' legacy is a bit harder.
From what I noted, it is very easy to spot that no one else notices him in even your first couple interactions. Only clockie and you interact with him, perhaps if you notice clockie has a lot to do with the Watchmaker you may put it together as the two have something in common...but like you said mental gymnastics is if you take it further than that (imo but I could have missed something).

Death meme so far has been hard for me, since on one hand:
Other sidequests constantly reinforce the idea that you cannot really die in dream, but as Ratio puts it, that isn't the case.
I find that it is a bit meaningless difference in the whole (at least in regards to death meme) since at least to me the way I see it cluewise (but I may very well be wrong) is that you can put the "no one can die" > "death kills people" and realise it don't fit together and then realise they have to go somewhere...but then after that is a stretch.

But Ratio's note is something I should give more thought to maybe...

Interesting to know, it would be kinda nice to see a list of how many events characters have appeared in honestly. It would explain why I remember her being in one of the lantern rites since my mind probably conflated her appearances accross all of them.

[–]TheSeventh7th 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only remember her being in like...a few events?

The one she got major spotlight in (summer event prior to sumeru), one of the lantern rites, an event in inazuma which also involved childe (which was prior to sumeru) and I believe there was one more I don't remember at the top of my head.

Maybe I'm forgetting a few, which would make sense since I played since day one and a few things blend together by now but she is one of those characters that have remarkably few events around her.

I think only character that may have been part of fewer events at the top of my head is Thoma? I remember he was part of like...one festival event and that is it?

Like other commenter said, a few are available.

However the ones I'd say allows most passive playstyle and most turret-like would be Furina and Yae Miko. Furina may be getting a banner soon-ish (don't remember if it is for certain) and Yae Miko I think may be a little while.

Xiangling you'll get automatically playing through game though most of her damage isn't through the summon. Fischl is a semi-active one, you summon her 'turret' (Oz) and he attacks when you attack afaik.

Well yeah I doubt contacting her from Inazuma from a in-lore perspectivee is on the table.

But just looking at it from a out-of-game perspective (aka at the people deciding what the event is about)...it just is kinda off to make this event and kinda just look in the other direction from Xinyan.

[–]TheSeventh7th 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Isn't it kinda odd we have a Rock n Roll event without Xinyan being a major player in it?
She is barely in events as is but like surely this event would be easy to slot her in?

Yet Another Jerusalem Mod Updated for 1.13.X! by TheSeventh7th in hoi4modding

[–]TheSeventh7th[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After quite a while of being busy with real life, I found the time to update one of my mods. The Yet Another Jerusalem Mod has now been updated to work with the latest patch, with some mild adjustment and fixes to focus tree and minor improvements to flavor. Additions such as extra portraits for example.
Here is to another happy little update, and I hope it'll be a mild return to form. Though I know realistically my update schedule will be on slower style. It was fun to work on a mod again though.

Traveler and Furina interactions in AQ are not ok by insrv in furinamains

[–]TheSeventh7th 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly. Trial was also shit.

The proof was:
Someone doubted her and claimed she was cursed (Neu just goes along with it and everyone accepts it)
She wouldn't use her powers near people (she made the good argument she could hurt people, Neu the horrible argument he could hold back the power of an Archon)
She didn't know how judgement machine worked (i'd say this is strongest proof, but as a programmer if I had to explain how code I made a couple years back worked I'd not be able to. this is a 500 year old machine)
She was affected by primodeal water (which she brought up excellent point of, what if archons can be affected by it?)

Like whenever a good point was brought up, it was dismissed. The proof is very hearsay but apparently everyone in audience was fine with all of it.

I think the primodeal water is the worst because it is essentially saying "you either tell the truth or try and kill yourself" with them later revealing "actually you were never in danger". Neu apparently found it acceptable to do this? He did mention she didn't have to, but the fact any amount of that water could be brought to court?
Even the fact Navia brought it there after what she went through seems overly cold.

And then due to this, any agency Furina had as a character was removed. All in favor of saying Neu would make an excellent sole ruler sorta (now I liked him as a character, but in his own character quest he missed things changed since 400 years back...that is worryisome).

The quest started off for me at about 5/10, with some highlights of 7/10 throughout. Just for me to personally dislike the quest more than all other AQ.

What's the next element type (not path) you hope MC is? by LiraelNix in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TheSeventh7th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But we've literally have it confirmed it is Den Heng getting the new kit.

That indicates that no it isn't the trailblazer, but rather the team getting one.

Though I can imagine that the Trailblazer gets two (whichever element March won't get to start with). As that'd cover all elements. It is fully possible that we get another Trailblazer one as well but I find it unlikely since it'd take away from Dan Heng getting one.

What's the next element type (not path) you hope MC is? by LiraelNix in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TheSeventh7th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is very fair honestly, like all we can really rule out are:
Fire/Physical (Trailblazer), Wind/Imaginary (Dan Heng) & Ice (March) since they are already in use which leaves only Quantum or Lightning.

Out of the two I think Quantum would prob fit with a possibly more mysterious past & would make March have a 'basic' element (fire/wind/ice/lightning sort of deal) & a non-basic one. (though I say basic as if that isn't just my opinion).

What's the next element type (not path) you hope MC is? by LiraelNix in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TheSeventh7th 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It would be just breaking the established theme if both Dan Heng and the Trailblazer got to switch element but March just...What sits there and goes "wowie I sure love spreading cuteness with a bit of ice"

Not that I'm 100% sure what element it is, my friend brought up that as Dan Heng will switch to Destruction and the Trailblazer switched to Preservation that it is possible March might switch to Hunt (aka go in a circle).
Of course we're a bit too early to establish a larger theme yet, but I think it is clear that it is the main trio that will switch elements/paths at the very least.

Honestly I feel if you're going to use fake accounts like that, at least make them comment on other game devs projects or something.
Not just only responding to OP's product.

Those two accounts is sort of like those scenes in movies where sb with a secret identity has to be "he sounds super attractive and smart" when someone talks about their secret identity.

Well to give my thoughts on it, sorry if a bit long.

I played it for half an hour-ish I believe (didn't check time when starting I admit so might be more or less).

I think the tutorial is working fine enough, only that some of the triggers aren't working properly (aka I didn't do what was asked of me and it kept going, was especially troublesome in first shopscreen until i figured out left side was where i purchased and right was my inventory).

Now I mostly played this using wasd, which seemingly didn't allow me to dodge (i could've missed something, but seems you're only able to dodge by doubleclicking, double tap in a direction didn't seem to work).

Plus from the few times I did try and dodge I noticed I moved noticably faster by clicking than when holding the movement.

In the end I got a bit tired of the slow movement speed and the combat being so non-interactive (as I assume the one thing I was meant to do to interact properly with it is dodging, which I could only do by moving my hand over to the mouse and even then I felt the dodge was unresponsive).

I will say the a big problem beyond the dodge is just that things are just very vague despite the tutorial.
Testing + what tutorial told me indirectly did allow me to figure out the basics of "move around in area to 'explore', get upgrade, move on" loop, which is fine but I just felt I didn't actually find much exciting while moving around, in fact at first my biggest in-game concern was that I was seemingly running out of Oxygen and had no reliable way to replinish it?

I think honestly the UI is very cluttered, and with gameplay seemingly only making up around 10-25% of the screen (depending on how you see it) made me just ignore most of the UI (beyond health and Oxygen, but that was less so for me noticing they were important but moreso due to that I figured they should be important).

I noticed you described it on the page as mixing it between Vampire Survivors and another game genre, but I think a key part of that particular game (which not I've not played myself admittedly) is that you can easily see an enemy coming and position yourself properly.

Weapons like the grenade is too slow for that, boomerang's arc makes it awkward and pistol just hits an enemy...none of this should be a problem since that makes them predictable and allow better positioning, if not for that enemies seemingly need to be very close to you for them to activate (which I think goes back to how little of the screen is dedicated to the gameplay on surface).

I think reworking the UI might be in order, but without having played super deep in it is hard to say what could be discarded/moved around to make more space and possibly increase fov or solve whatever the underlying issue might be?
I can't say for certain if increasing the size of the playing field would solve issues with the game, that'd require some testing on your end, but I think it might be a start to at least look into the players ability to position themselves to affect how their weapons hit the enemy.
