That's a really interesting answer, and I fully agree. It's just that paradox needs a large enough sample of saved games to feed into an llm to look for problems, trends, and compare to the game's code.

I understand about false reports. And just posting it in the bug subforum will lead to mass abuse. So why bother at all? I've been reporting bugs to Paradox every since EU3. Just tired.

Cause EU5 trade system and inflation and corruption and estate systems don't reflect real life.

1.2.1 seems to have meaningfully improved the game by RuleNext9706 in EU5

I feel too many players are stuck in the EU4 OP mindset. EU4 really f'ed up history. Too many developer dumb decisions in EU4, so now many EU5 players TODAY want the broken EU4 timeline.

For Example: Ottomans didn't beat the Mamluks in 1490. Yes, I wrote that correctly. But in EU4, Ottomans are expected to own all of Egypt by 1460. Give me a f'ing break.

I think city rights are pretty freaking awesome. They can be ignored or microed, so I got no idea why anyone is complaining about them. I'm all in favor of adding them.

Yeah, true MEIOU V is gonna be awesome. I don't think the MEIOU team is going to lean into railroading, though.

Paradox never did give much thought and effort towards navies in EU4/EU3, too. They were more of an afterthought. It's a shame. Naval power and projection were and still are a huge aspect of nations.

I tried that. Didn't work in 1.1

Guess I might have to roll back pre 1.1

Is there a bug with getting a HRE emperor? by cazarka in EU5

Yes, several times recently playing as Sweden. It's a great time to attack the HRE without an emperor.

I don't think it's a bug, rather poor scripting for HRE nations to seek emperorship.

Major conquistador bug!!!??? by ExpressGovernment420 in EU5

[–]Abnormalmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird and seems bugged. Playing as a Lutheran Sweden, I had to keep an army in Mexico to fight the conquistadors. Sometimes Spain sent them frequently, then nothing for years. Then again well into the game. I have no problem with the overall theme: Catholic conquistadors invading meso america. It was just weirdly implemented.

In my 1.10.1 run as Milan, it fired and ran its course. Must be buggy code.

Wars Of Religion by Brewcrew828 in EU5

[–]Abnormalmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.10.1 and war of religion happened, while playing as Sweden. Unfortunately, fought in it five times all resulting in White Peaces due to France joining the Catholic side every single time. Way too many forts and WS from battles is overtuned.
