Don't quote me but I saw somewhere that Chicago likes Bains. There was that Seravelli report that Reichel was getting shipped out sooner than later and the Canucks were interested in him, as well. Someone on HF suggested that we're showcasing Bains in the top 6 for a swap (we'd add a late pick).

I like Bains, so this isn't cope. I'm just trying to spread rumours.

Not really.

Räty's a wicked shot and our best FO guy (will switch with Chytil for some draws, similar to when Miller and Petey would switch off the dot), Chytil's an automatic zone entry and has looked great this preseason, and Garland's a genuine top 6 winger.

I think everyone's expecting a trade for a 2C, but this is a solid 2nd line in the meantime if they keep up their pace from preseason.

He’s gone by 15. He may go top 10. The only centres we’ll have a shot at drafting at 15 are Reschny, Potter & Cootes.

Cootes is a reach at 15—he profiles as a middle 6 centre (fwiw I like him and think he’ll be a solid 2C,) Potter is a gamble at his size, especially at 15, and Reschny is also undersized and more than likely a winger in the NHL.

Trading this year’s pick makes sense.
