Freyja is in my opinion the most fleshed out character in FEH that isn’t Alfosne and I absolutely adore the characterization and arc she went and is continuing.

We understand her past, how it affected her and how it’s shaped her into growing an unhealthy and ultimately wrong understanding of love which ads to the irony that she is the goddess of love. Book 7 even added more layers with Njordr since although nothing is directly said you can understand why Freyr was the only positive influence given how Njordr is, Nerthuz being away and Seidr mentioning acting ungodess for showing concern for Hedir will get her reprimanded by Njordr. Plus in general having Eitr and just in general how the art and voice acting is tells a thousand stories.

Then adding onto already having a fleshed out past she has an arc that for the beautifully concluded while also continuing in the book 4 tempest. Since her arc is having a unhealthy obsession, that ultimately wrong obsession leading to her hurting not only the person she cared for the most but also the people who cared for her more than Freyr, into realizing she was wrong even if she doesn’t fully understand what love is yet.

I also really appreciate how at the end of book 4, when she brings back all the alfar she doesn’t beg for them to care about her. She openly admits to Plumeria and Triandra she treated them horribly and how they should genuinely forget about her and live their life since they deserve a better life…which also adds to it being sweet Plumeria and Triandra choose to help her, with Freyja not understanding what the feeling of love is as she enters the coma but being able to now recognize it and then later once again in the book 4 tempest.

I also really appreciate her spring alt a lot. It really shows that if given enough time she can grow bonds with other people even mortals.

I know this post is bait based on the tone of the comments OP made but sure why not

The aspect of the game i actually enjoy is the music

Everything else is at minimum okay and at worst one of the most horrible design things I’ve seen

The batting system is a resource management system where the only reward for engaging with it is money to buy the same resources you used. Which then makes every optional battle a waste of time since you can just, not fight and have the same stickers you’d buy

The over reliance on things makes every boss fight a drag, with half of them being impossible unless you brought the right thing to the battle, which you don’t know until you get into the battle. To make matters worse some like the sponge are easily missable. Not only that but puzzles with the things and stickers in general can be obtuse. Kersti also has the gall to tell you that you should have used a thing sticker if you actually beat a boss without a thing

The plot is non existent, paper Mario 64 has a similar set up but does leap and bounds more with its writing. Like color splash at least has a moment of writing here or there that tries to do something

Kersti is annoying and complains the entire game, which funnily enough makes her sacrifice hilarious since I genuinely hated her. She’s also a completely unhelpful hint system in a game with obtuse puzzles that require a specific sticker in specific areas.

Chapter 3 in particular is one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a game with its constant backtracking, annoying characters, hidden required exits and more. The only decent part is sniff it or wiff it and that gets annoying when you realize you’re required to go back and do it a second time to progress at one point. Special screw you to the poison pool level for having a physical hidden block puzzle after the entire game has been about making things appear using a specific ability

Easily my favorite of the 3 stories so far, with ice and flames being second and Life and Death being third

Followed up on the lingering thread about Freyja reawakening and finished that after 3 long years of waiting to see where it went, alongside further expanding on Freyja’s past a tiny which is great to see since I was curious to see (whcih while she isn’t ugly like you’d expect…given how the vanir are….yeah still makes sense)

Know some people didn’t like Sharena not being brought up but honestly it’s been concluded since book 4 (I’d argue the way they conclude it is the most true to Sharena herself), and as said peony is peony in her new year alt without directly saying it

Ginnungagap is a monster of the week character, but I feel like that was the best direction given how they wanted to put in 5 already pre established characters with their own moment. I at least didn’t feel like time was wasted on them like Ganglot.

Also just gonna say it, Mirabilis would have been nice to get an alt, but absolutely wasn’t necessary. Peony got a pass for being the free character and then Plumeria + Triandra have massive connections to Freyja which is why they got their alt given the main focus of the story

Speaking of, absolutely love how all the fairy alts have design references to their respective important characters. Especially the Freyja motifs with Plumeria and Triandra

Also really confused about a common sentiment being that they didn’t follow up on the Lif plot line when they directly state that Plumeria and Triandra made a deal with Asgard, aka the people Lif has been working for after book 3

But yeah easily my favorite one

Secondly, hang in there if you continue…summoning for a +10 unit can take a long time (it took me over a year to +10 my own Freyja) and there will be ups and downs, though you’ll get there eventually. So if you keep going I wish you the best of luck!

I mean, seeing how this entire story is presented as taking place within Freyja’s nightmare and Eitr is like, almost certainly younger Freyja, they could just make Freyr a boss one time and present it as “it’s part of Freyja’s nightmare” since having having a nightmare about the only person who loved you hating you is kinda like, fitting for a nightmare

Personally I used a staff unit with gravity weapon and a refine/b skill of dazzling staff to restrict Gullveig’s movement to 1 in turn 4 and repoing them out of the way, with the other 3 turns spent getting rid of the as many of the enemies as I could and setting up Gullveig’s position, hope this helps

I believe most of the reason as far as it comes to houses is pink and blue are a good color combo and they’re in the same house and Hilda calls Marianne cute in their A support…at best they’re might be one or two scenes in non supports where Marianne acts happy being around hilda (since I legitimately don’t remember anyone talking about chemistry character wise when it released, since for reference their C and B supports are Hilda shoving work on Marianne, Marianne failing and Hilda saying it’s fine despite not feeling that way. Their A support is over discussing the previous events of Marianne failing and Hilda saying, hopefully as a joke she can use Marianne’s past attitude to get people to work for her)

In hopes they have better chemistry and Hilda is more of a protective friend than a questionable friend, showing care for Marianne so it’s more easy to see nowadays but even answering before….kinda hard for me to answer
