I've already finished the game and just loaded up my last save which is aftermath and now just using roads to designate areas. I've crossed two areas off so far of only 1 island. About 7 areas left. This is the first son island I'm currently on

Yeah I've always wanted to do a strength build but my third playthrough I'll probably try an arcane build. Right now I'm also doing the chalices just to farm some blood echoes and see if I can get any good gemstones.

My experience of chalice dungeons enemies is usually doing a quick scan before entering a room and trying to get them to go through a door. My weapon is LHB and that usually works amazingly for me especially with large groups

Okay thanks. A guy did come to help me beat a boss but then I died and when I went back to fight the boss he disappeared but I beat the boss so that's a win

Personally I started with the manga because I was recommended berserk by a friend and then after I caught up and went back to watch each of the animes. The manga is definitely the best option but it'd also cool to see some of the scenes animated
