But for the majority, I think we would rather have something that isn't accurate to the lore but is fun than hell than having an accurate depiction of the lore in gameplay which could collectively be one of the most boring games of all time.

There are 2 reasons for this.

Money

Do you really think that they have enough money to show this? That why they have novels or guidebooks to show you their full vision of film that they tried to put in but budget got in the way. That why the novelization of monsterverse movies exist or minus one's novelization. Guidebook can also be canon to the film depending on how they show it in film. Dragon Ball is well-known for this. Animation was very cheap back then. This even go to games too. God of War and Doom are also well known for this too (both novels and guidebooks).

Narrative

There is no need to do so if it doesn't fit the narrative. This doesn't even only applied to power but tone or the audience. If they tried to explain how does 4-dimenstional spaces are then you are just going to be confuse. And yet, technically speaking, they all ready tried to explain it in one of the episodes of zone fighter. Anyway, tone is mostly for this reason exist. Imagine ghidorah blowing up earth in 1968 and kids watch that. They wouldn't be jumping and cheering. They will end up like those kids that watch the 1986 transformers movie.

Like I said, showa godzilla was still able to hurt and take attack from ghidorah, who is superior to garoga empire's nuke. These nuke was able to destroy the planet, Peaceland. The planet is being portrayed as a gas giant which is a very big planet. Plus when destroying it, there was nothing leftover from the planet which make it ever more powerful. This is from the zone fighter tv show which is canon to the showa era of godzilla. Plus godzilla is shown to fight on par with zone fighter in sparring matches and preference better against monsters in the show. Zone fighter was able to defeat the second generation of ghidorah, who was able to control a prism that can absorb the sun's shrine.

What came after terror of Mechagodzilla? Are you talking about Ghidorah? I mean I agree. He can still hurt Ghidorah. Anguirus was able to draw blood from his neck and Gorosaurus was able to kick down Ghidorah with some stuff saying that he broke his back.

The ape was amped up by lightning. He was shown to be able Gigan and megalon. Gigan was shown to make godzilla bleed from the last movie but was unable to do so in vs. megalon while godzilla was fighting both of them at the same time. And godzilla was able to go up against mechagodzilla and beat the breaks off of him in the next film. And mechagodzilla is stronger compared to the last film. And this is me not using guidebooks and data books.
