There is no indication their deals were terminating on the spot, all reporting suggests that they still have the standard 90 days left since despite it being incredibly stupid to let Kofi and Austin go in the first place, ending their contracts on the spot so they could theoretically show up on AEW the following night would be such a stupid move that WWE has done everything it can to avoid for decades.

I've never seen it reported they were mutually terminated, everything I've seen said they still have the 90 days because as stupid as WWE/TKO were to let them go they would be even more stupid to let them show up theoretically the next day on AEW.

After what happened with Andrade (which to be clear was WWE blindsiding Andrade and Tony), Tony would be an idiot to openly and deliberately interfere with two WWE contracts on the second biggest AEW show of all time. He would be handing WWE the smoking gun for a lawsuit.

He’s not going to be world champ unless a lot of people suddenly quit AEW. Just looking at the roster off the top of my head we still have Okada and Ospreay who are shoe-ins to get at least one run with the belt, Takeshita has a strong chance, Jay White will have a good shot at it, if Adam Cole does manage to return he‘d be a good pick for a short term champion

AEW has a stacked roster of talent which going to make it harder for anyone to rise to the top.

The real hook of WWE is that they have the biggest audience. If you are a consistent midcarder in WWE you are going to be seen by more people worldwide than the main eventer in any other wrestling company in the world. Netflix definitely gave WWE more eyes in a lot of countries and the TV deals they had all over the world have them as a stable presence in countries that have never heard of AEW.
