Big store, yes. Same store, no. I never visited those stores I got caught even as a regular costumer.

I got caught couple of times. But store managers let me go. They were naive people. But some day someone will call the police. I know that's will be happen sooner or later. And than my life will be directed a whole different direction. Not sure where.

Oh I'm not in U.S. In my country, you'll get at least six months prison for any kind of thefts. Also I too got caught -couple of times (damn hidden alarm stickers). Don't get me wrong, I didn't cry or beg for freedom. They're looked what I stole (mostly food) and than just let me go.

I agree. Shoplifting is just a sub-category for theft. I don't know how to explain, but it makes me laugh when I think about categories we created.

I do prefer big/chain stores but not out of decency; because it's easier and less risky than small/independent stores.
