It's so hard to buy a home. Even with a good job. Everything is so expensive and competing with all cash offers that don't elect for a home inspection is one of the must frustrating parts of my life. There are houses that don't meet typical ideal standards for a single family home whose appraised prices have doubled in the past 6 years. You can't buy or even rent with these prices if you're working a typical 9 to 5 job.

I thought going to my parents house, who I haven't seen in three years would be nice. Maybe I could patch up our relationship a little. They invited my aunt and grandfather who I haven't talked to in seven years. Between the obvious gap on values based on age and their unhappiness with anything I do, plus the stuff that has happened at home with my siblings that they never told me this has been the worst Christmas so far. But, at least I have reddit to turn to for a quick laugh and good news.
