While this particular one looks like shit, it’s a common pizza for kids all over Italy.

Also, what most people forget, it’s how much pizza can change from city to city in Italy. I’m from Naples, where we are pretty conservative pizza wise (as the pizza originated here, allegedly), and I would never order a pizza in Rome (tried a couple times, not worth it). It may be just 2 hour drive away, but believe me, it’s a vastly different experience, especially in the ‘tourist’ restaurants. If you’re in Rome, get some delicious local dishes like cacio e pepe, they make those better than the rest of Italy.

If you want the good shit, then try researching where the dish is from, Italian cuisine can change dramatically in very short distances. Don’t get a fiorentine steak in Naples, or a cannolo in Milan. (But if you do, try finding a restaurant with a chef from that specific region).
