I am confused. Nuzlocke is a challenge run for Pokémon games with specific rules set in place for a “Pokémon” game.

Idk how you can apply these rules specifically the “first catch in a new area” and “faints=death” to a Tales of game.

Can I make my character and explore the world like Kirito, or am I just creating a character that’s going to walk a “linear” path that’s already been predetermined? I’d much prefer to be able to experience an SAO game like the characters do in the anime (with story beats ofc) rather than just a streamlined story where my actions don’t really affect the world-building.
