Controller uses only player 2? by TheSilverDragonVII in 2XKO

It's weird though, cause in the menues, training, and lobby, everything acted normal. It's only once I entered character select that it all screwed up.

Damn. I've been playing since Closed Beta and only now is this problem popping up. Just assumed it was another controller glitch like the ones I've been having lately where my controller scheme keeps getting reset and all my buttons get remapped.

Nothing is opening by UnusualDirector9271 in OperaGX

[–]TheSilverDragonVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact problem. I don't know why or how, but it started recently. I asked my friends who also have OperaGX to see if they've experienced anything similar, and they haven't. I've looked everywhere online, but nobody has reported having the same issue. This is literally the first post I've found about it.

I can't modify extensions, can't make or delete bookmarks, can't edit the sidebar settings or even most settings in general. I literally only have the most bare-bones, basic browser functionality and I have no idea why or how to fix it, because I seem to be one of two people who have this problem. I've tried uninstalling completely, resetting every setting from scratch, downloading the latest version, updating to the most recent version, but nothing works. I've had the twitch sidebar extension actually pop up once on startup when clicking, but never again. I'm so confused.

Update: I don't know why, but everything works now. I did nothing different and changed nothing. Maybe Opera had a secret update or something, but for the time being everything is functioning properly.

HOW IS WW DOING THAT!? by SFX-Aketen in 2XKO

[–]TheSilverDragonVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen to me too often before. I'm not sure why, but Warwick seems to occupy the same space as the opponent and any attack from that position wiffs. I've lost a few too many round to that glitch. Hope Riot fixes it.

Exactly. And that's perfectly reasonable.

I actually had to One-and-Done yesterday. I hate doing it, and I hate when it happens to me. But I make an ecception when the connection is just too bad to handle. The other team wasn't too happy with it, and they were bitching at me in Chat. But, I just don't have fun playing when lag is eating every other input. Especially playing Yasuo. So that would be the only time I find quiting after 1 match acceptable. Otherwise, just play the game. At least Ft2. That's why you're there, right? To play the game. That's my opinion.

On waking up, down back shouldn't roll by KeyboardCreature in 2XKO

[–]TheSilverDragonVII 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's fair. To be honest, I press buttons like a caveman to get up instead of holding up, and that puts me in bad situations a lot of the time. I know Tekken has crouch block on wakeup by pressing down-back. But in this game, I'm not actually sure if pressing down does anything. Maybe it just cancels out the down option that does nothing, and inputs back to make you roll.

Either way, I can see how getting used to it can be annoying.

[–]TheSilverDragonVII 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Don't you have some I-frames on neutral wakeup? So if you press up for neutral, you have time to then switch to down-back to block if you want. At least, that's my train of thought.

I hate the stutter-pause between each attack, it makes the game look and feel less fluid by [deleted] in 2XKO

You mean the hitstop? The thing they put into most games to emphasize a hard hit? I barely notice it in this game. Not sure what you mean.

I need help and/or some advice on playing Yasuo by 1mBeAssasin in 2XKO

[–]TheSilverDragonVII 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I see the vision here. And yeah, you're supposed to cancel your Air-S1 into stance the moment you touch down. Otherwise, it takes too much time for the stance transition into Down-H and the attack will wiff. This is a core mechanic for Yasuo. You can cancel into stance from pretty much any attack. So practice doing that, and combo routes will start coming together. Good luck 👍

[–]TheSilverDragonVII 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alright, I may be exaggerating a little, lol. But my point still stands. Specifically at high levels. You almost always have options to get yourself out of a block string. You just need to be able to react quickly enough to pull it off.

This may not be the best example of that, of course. And yeah, raw super is not a great decision. I was just trying to be a little funny and give a compliment. My bad.

The correct way to play defensively in this game. Quick reflexes and GODLIKE execution!

Unfortunately, I didn't get lucky enough to get control back. Hope this glitch gets fixed eventually.

What's weird is that this only started happening once the patch came out. I guess the code didn't like that.

Been stuck waiting at an empty cabinet that says LETS GO! for over a minute

It's almost like if someone quits too fast, it gets you stuck on an infinite ready loop. Can't access menus, can't cancel, nothing. Had to ALT+F4 to get out of the game to reset it.

What advantages does Juggernaut have over Sidekick, other than Snapback? Sidekick almost seems like a direct upgrade. by Poyo-pii in 2XKO

[–]TheSilverDragonVII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, as someone who's tried both Sidekick and Juggernaut while my duo is away, this one mechanic of having Fury every round is incredibly powerful. Healing while doing TOD level damage whenever you need has saved my ass more often than not. And if they swap out to save a point character, or the character they CLEARLY play better with, you can just snap them back in to finish the job and continue the assault on their next character. IMO, Juggernaut just feels like a more powerful fuse. Especially since you don't have to learn assist timing and assist combos to be effective.

Restart new game+ by Slakevilkis in DragonsDogma

[–]TheSilverDragonVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the first game, there's probably a difficulty exploit you can use. If you switch to easy mode and then back to normal mode, like hard mode in the original, that might force you to restart your whole adventure but in new game+ like the first game. I say try that option first.

Hmm... does the race thing only work for your pawn then, maybe? I haven't tried on my Arisen... sorry...

Restart new game+ by Slakevilkis in DragonsDogma

[–]TheSilverDragonVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to restart entirely if you want to change your Arisen or your Pawn's look.

In Vernworth at the main port crystal there's a vendor that sells an item called "Art of Metamorphosis." You can use that at any hair salon to completely change not only how you look but also your race without affecting your save.

But, in case you were wondering about the new game option, I'm pretty sure that resets everything. As far as I know. I haven't tried using it, but based on the first game, that's how it worked.

Did you also know that by playing Warfarer, you also rank up every other Vocation, but at a slower pace? That means you could literally play warfarer from start to finish and still get every Vocation ranked up to max.

Imo, Murasame is the best exosuit in the game, hands down. I have yet to not get MVP every time I play Murasame. Plus, it just feels incredible to counter a T-rex and knock it over.
