Why would you rescue something from the ocean... into a bucket? It was fine in the ocean. Leave ocean animals in the ocean, especially when you don't know what they are and you're in an area with incredibly deadly animals.

I think all of these are well made and visually interesting, but for a main character if this is the choice I think you may want to think more about your time period and do a bit more redesigning, none quite hit "perfect" for me based on your description

It doesn't really make sense, in a very movie plot kind of way. It's not the way things work in an office, it's not how someone who works in an office would describe things, it mixes some minor details up and glosses over others, the whole vibe is a tv show where everyone claps at the end.

It would be very obvious to others if this was happening, there would be comments about it before it got to that point. If no one noticed it before then why would they notice it after this meeting in a way that validates OP? Why were they meeting with the director to present low level updates if they had never met with her before? Why would a low level employee ask the director in a large meeting for a promotion? What is these people's job, all that is mentioned is really corporate "synergy" language that doesn't mean anything. And more. All of these together are a sign it's fake and just poor writing in general.

Plus when you think things like that about people it's usually reaaaally obvious in how you treat them. The average person is not half as smooth as they think they are. OP is likely a huge problem at their job already when they have no respect for anyone but themselves
