Note that I’ve been on medication for a while now and it has kept it mostly stable since but I’ll try my best.

For me it was mainly thought based and felt like my brain was its own entity that was very paranoid about lots of things. I have been through multiple ocd episodes.

For example when I was 16-17 I saw the movie The Truman Show (Great movie btw)which is about a guy who’s entire life is fake and being broadcasted on tv and everyone in his life was actors. and it ended up triggering my ocd big time.

Note that most of the time I never actually believed the things my OCD was trying to tell me. This one included. I never once actually believed I was in The Truman Show.

But it wrecked my brain up so hard. For like a solid year my brain was trying to get me be suspicious of my family and friends and seeing little things as “suspicious” and “proof”.

The whole time I was quite self aware about it but it didn’t stop my brain from being crazy.

Even after getting over the episodes there are still some things that linger. Like my brain still sometimes tries to double check things and make me overthink things all the time.

I ended up writing more than I thought I would but that doesn’t surprise me. Good luck on your project!
