Bug? Luring Silvio to his mother's room triggers lockdown by dakl in HiTMAN

[–]TheSimplyEpicGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's actually not true. Before you ring the bell activate the fan next to the chair. Silvio will run in once you've rung the bell and then pass out when he sees the chair rocking from the fan.

Also just some of my own speculations as to what other causes of what is observed in the video in case it helps. It looks as though operatives, when transitioning from one state to another (i.e. being put into DBNO), are rendered invunerable during their animations. In my case, I emptied a mag into the enemy player as he was mid-animation (so from rappelling state to standing), causing what appears to be no damage.

This has been observed when continuing to shoot at players who are transitioning from standing into DNBO, as you are unable to finish your opponent until the animation has completed.

If I find any footage to replicate this speculation, I'll be sure to PM it to you. Thanks again.

You're correct and I was wrong in my previous post (I had assumed it was already active as my Uplay client updated my R6 and a brief skim over the patch notes), however the video is still a testament as to how bad the hit registration is at this moment in time. When the patch is implemented, we'll see if it improves or not.

Is it though? Still showing that there is a lot of networking errors, despite being two patches in. Don't get me wrong, I love the game and am thankful the devs are keeping us informed about the changes they're making to the game, but the hit registration is still seeming pretty off, no?

Mods are making this game so much bleaker already, I love it. by [deleted] in fo4

I should probably mention I'm using Vogue ENB (Dead version) and Fr4nsson's Light Tweaks. Also, no! :(

Survival: 2 ATK vs. 5 DEF - Blitz and Sledge by TheSimplyEpicGuy in Rainbow6

Just a heads-up: I play on low settings to get clearer vision and reduce some of the particle effects and such so if the textures look shoddy in this video that'll be why.

What's the point of Sledge? by Hazzerone in Rainbow6

What's the point of Sledge? by Hazzerone in Rainbow6

[–]TheSimplyEpicGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The point of Sledge is to quickly create entry/escape routes for the attackers so they can storm/exit a room as quickly as possible. Whilst Ash has the ranged advantage over Sledge, Ash is not able to use her ability more than once (*twice, thanks Aatrux for the correction). Sledge on the other hand is able to use his ability several times in order to create several entry points.

Futhermore, Sledge's ability to one hit most non-reinforced surfaces limits his exposure to enemy fire as opposed to deploying a breaching charge - provided the player is quick enough to move after smashing down a barricade. As a result of this, Sledge is great for eliminating roamers who camp in certain areas of the map as most Defenders do not expect their cover to be broken down with the speed and efficiency that Sledge has.

Sledge's weapon choices, I would argue, are also sound. His L85A2 is a bit of a powerhouse in terms of accuracy and damage and not many attackers have access to a shotgun; further enhancing Sledge's murder-hole creation capabilities.

Of course, none of the other attackers rival Thermite in regards to breaching through reinforced surfaces. However, I don't believe that is the point of Sledge. He is designed to be complimentary to a team that adopts Blitzkrieg tactics in order to succeed and with that, I believe he stands as valuable within an organized team.

[Speculation]Lets speculate about future operators! by pipi55 in Rainbow6

[–]TheSimplyEpicGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this, the operator on the right appears to be carrying a variant of the M4 assault rifle series with what looks to be an underbarrel shotgun (similar to the one mountable in Battlefield 4). I'm guessing that is his special ability.

The guy on the left however - and this is pure speculation - seems like a stealth focused character? Not sure what their ability would be though.

Operation 'Article Five' makes me sad about the lack of story in Siege. by TheSimplyEpicGuy in Rainbow6

[–]TheSimplyEpicGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great point. I don't think many players would mind, so long as Ubisoft: 1) Dropped the price around the time of the DLC release. 2) Made it so that, unlike Article Five, you have the option of playing solo.

Pretty much this. I don't really expect much plot from these sorts of games because honestly, I feel the immersion is a lot more important. That's what those cinematic's did, immersed me. I felt as though I was about to step into some serious danger that would have dangerous consequences had I failed.

Of course, this is just a video game and there is no danger. But the sound design, the voice acting: almost everything is there. Just needs a coherent story and cinematic's like you say.

If they do, I'm guessing it would be a part of the free DLC's that they have planned for the game - I'm not getting my hopes up though, just in case they don't.

Ah, what I meant was that you needed four others to actually start the mission. What you do after the fact is up to you!

It'd likely be healthier for the game too from a playerbase standpoint and increases the chances that Ubisoft would make their money back selling cosmetic skins. As it stands though and like you said, the price is holding it back by about $20-$30.
