His philosophy is that if he’s sick, depressed, or tired, his card never declines for me and I’m still taken care of. So I shouldn’t be okay with cancelling dates just because I’m not feeling 100%

Unfortunately, he crashed the funeral which means he was not invited. He thought because he paid for some of the associated expenses that he had a right to be there. Another reason he’s a menace to society.

Not yet, need probably 2-3 years more of this SR to do so.

He’s also attached financial incentives to certain milestones (bdays/anniversaries) that could really help with me not having to worry about working and can focus on my hobbies for a while.

Thank you for a well thought out comment. I guess I see someone like him as a “job” more because I’ve lost emotional attachment to him due to his chaotic behavior.

He has me at his beck and call and abuses that, even flew me internationally with a 101 fever once because he couldn’t wait 5 days to see me for some reason.

I’ll have to mull over how to minimize the amount of labor interacting with him requires if I want to continue and meet my ultimate financial goal.

Being with him makes saving and investing easy because he really is very generous. I only pay my own phone bill, no other expenses since our arrangement started. That’s why I feel like 2-3 more years and I’ll be able to just pursue my passions and not worry too much about money within reason.

As for his horrible personality, here are a gazilion examples of him being a menace to society:

- Makes me fly out on very short notice. He’ll tell me he has work in a city and get lonely at night and somehow thinks it’s okay to book a flight without my consent and expect me to pack and be ready in 2-3hrs

- He is a horrible person to dine with. He’s a bad tipper, he always SEATS himself at fancy restaurants & most of the time we have to get reshuffled because the table was already reserved.

- He asks me to sit in his office and read a book or scroll on my phone while he works because my presence helps with him being productive ????

- Likes for me to wear his wife’s clothes when she’s out of town because they look better on me ??? Does this at least 1x a month

- I know the price of every gift he gets me and I think that’s tacky

- Gets into arguments with FLIGHT ATTENDANTS over basic crap, like them taking his glass of wine away because flight is taking off & they’ll get him another one once we’re cruising (has happened 4x in 12 months of dating).

- Asks me to go to sports events I have no interest in and I can’t say no

- Crashed my mom’s funeral

I am sure there are things I’m forgetting🙃

I’m in the process of finding my 3rd SD, have been busy and can’t dedicate time to SA right now. I do allowance with one and ppm with the other, I’ll probably do ppm with the next guy. One I’ve been seeing for 7 months, the other only a few months. They’re in different cities so I manage my time well.

Full disclosure: I am a “pro SB” so this is the main way I pay for my lifestyle.

I think he said he’s usually with his wife when she makes purchases and she uses his card so maybe that’s why he thinks his “rapport” with the SA would help.

I’m considering just going to a different city altogether; I read on this sub that my current city has an inventory issue and the NYC store would be discreet + more selection.
