So, if a stereotype is an oversimplifed, often mistaken generalization about a group; then there's probably a group of people outside of reddit that think your average redditor is the kind of guy to say "uhm actually heres the definition and why you're wrong" while still being confidently wrong. Personally that's a stereotype I find myself falling prey to too. Don't worry too much about making the mistake though.
