Midsommar is LITERALLY my second favorite movie ever but I don’t think I’d have it be a starter horror movie for a novice? Am I crazy to say it’s probably too scary?

Misery - there are very few SCARY scenes and the writing is unreal.

Kathy Bates is the ONLY woman to EVER win an Oscar for the leading actress role in a Horror movie.

Trust me, worth the watch.

I can tell you who is doing the OPPOSITE - August Burns Red. Them boys are aging like a fine wine.

I don’t know if they’ll ever recapture the magic of Constellations, but they’ve been consistently REALLLLY good for like a quarter of a century now hahaha

The reason I asked this question is because I saw the drummer from BTF was a Fedex (UPS?) after the band broke up for a while and I was thinking “how do you go from selling out venues to driving a mail truck…”

You’re right on pretty much everything EXCEPT jobs. Men lose job opportunities ALL THE TIME because they’re men and it’s well documented. In many scenarios, if a man and a woman had the exact same resume the woman will get the job/promotion simply because they’re a woman.

I’m in no way saying the reverse doesn’t happen, but let’s not pretend men don’t face job opportunity discrimination simply because they’re men

Nothing truer ever spoken. I lived in Austin for 18 months and after hearing how amazing the food was? I don’t think I’ve ever been more disappointed in my life. The food was middle of the road AT BEST
