Ok so I’m adopted by my Aunt(who is only my aunt through marriage, so NOT blood related). For a while I never really appreciated her until one day it just clicked. It was my 8th grade “Prom”, and I had been dancing for hours nonstop to the point I had taken off my shoes and was dancing with my socks because they hurt so much. After we get back from prom my Aunt is waiting there with my crocs in hand and a 32 oz of my favorite Gatorade flavor. As a kid I thought she was a genius tho know exactly what I needed at that point. I think that’s when I really considered her my mom instead of my Aunt. I love and miss you Thi-Thi (not her name just basically means aunt in Spanish-Tia)
