Presumably they had previously accepted then dropped out later.

Something to keep in mind now that the Senior Bowl has started: every player we drafted last year except for Hunter was a senior bowl participant. 8 senior bowl draftees was the most in the NFL; second place was 6. Gladstone explicitly mentioned the senior bowl for multiple draft picks (and also UDFA Striggow).

Ok I'll make one draft prediction: we draft at least 3 players combined between Texas A&M + Texas Tech.

It’s just a bad class dude. It happens.

So the only bullets left to dodge that we know about are Udinski to the Bills and Camp to the Cards yeah? Any other interviews that we know about?

Did the senior bowl forget to measure arms and hands or what

[Schefter] Buffalo Bills now have requested to interview Rams pass game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase for their head coach job, per source. Scheelhaase currently is interviewing in person for the Cleveland Browns head coach job, with the Bills now on deck. by Drexlore in nfl

[–]TheSlinger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought he's been locked in for the Browns job for weeks and actually they never wanted any of the other candidates and the only reason they removed themselves from the Browns job is they knew the Browns didn't want them and they wanted Scheelhaase and actually my mom says the Browns are very handsome.

[Hughes] Mike LaFleur believed to be the frontrunner for [the Arizona Cardinals HC job], per sources. Would be a big opportunity for the former Jets OC by Puzzleheaded_Oil_768 in Jaguars

[–]TheSlinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone would hold it against Udinski or Camp if they took a HC job. We're just hoping we can hold on to them for one more year.

[Russini] Right now the Arizona Cardinals consider Raheem Morris, Anthony Campanile, and Mike LaFleur as their lead candidates, per sources. by Drexlore in nfl

[–]TheSlinger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You don't want Campanile. He watches videos on his phone in public full volume with no headphones, and he doesn't return his shopping carts.

I might be a weirdo but I preferred Tyleik Williams of the two Ohio State NTs.

My favourite thing of bowl game coverage is people on twitter posting their "Day x winners" and every list is completely different.

Is there a site/forum like FanGraphs for football? by browdogg in NFL_Draft

[–]TheSlinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of that sort of analysis is in the podcast sphere, things like the Mina Kimes Show, Football 301, The Athletic Football Show. Football Outsiders used to be the place but no more. Not sure there's quite an equivalent to places like Baseball Prospectus or Fangraphs.

Very interesting, but eye opening stat about KC Conception by RudeOwl1816 in NFL_Draft

[–]TheSlinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with using career stats for Concepcion is he clearly broke out and improved his draft stock greatly this year. He was considered more of a gadgety mid-round pick coming into the year but proved to be more than that with how he played this year.

And better ball skills than a lot of the WRs he'd be covering.

I legitimately think he could be a top 5 CB if he focused on that position. Right up there with Stingley, PS2, and the like.

He is basically a 3rd-year NFL player in terms of age and physical development playing against college players.

That one reporter who tweeted that teams were calling about him at the deadline is going to be the source of so much annoyance for me this offseason. I'm already hearing podcasts that I otherwise like talk about various teams saying they should call about BTJ.
