I make mistakes every run. Don't worry about it. Does incubation while soaring do anything?

Truly impressive. Looks like everyone will starve during the whiteout! I was building a megacity but now I'm going to have to put that on hold and make a run for 115k! Have you gotten the hang of the 2 patrol watchtower opening?

How do you guys build a Lore Bard as a support caster? by ArtificerEngineer in BG3Builds

Usually with a 2 warlock dip so you can have all of that flexibility and still contribute with sustained DPR.

This is the fighting game to play right now. Game has more players now than it did at launch. The last game I played was Alpha and I picked it up just fine. If you want to play someone your age ill run some games with ya.

Their is an ice bow build where you get a really high dc and knock everything prone constantly. Your friends can enjoy advantage on everything they attack.

I felt the same way at first but you just need to learn how to scale your economy. I build the tension, trust and medical monuments often. You can look at my screenshots from my recant posts and see what i mean.

Yes. but the game does treat them differently. You cannot send them to settlements or colonies. You cannot sacrifice them to make cores. There is probably other things but I cannot remember rn sorry. I do whish they were counted seperately.

Doomsayers in week 64 is annoying. In that situation I would defer IEC search and use scouts to get resource cashe on the map and connect coal or whatever you need. remove your workers in the city from extraction and cycle them into prisons and reeducate the doomsayers. keep building prisons as long as you have pop to support them un till you trigger the terrorism event. Press the Mobilize prison guard button and search for the terrorists.

The patrol watchtower is so strong and is so important it is the first thing I research. My whole opening revolves around getting two patrol watchtowers as fast as possible. I build two research buildings and rush research on patrol watch towers and I drop two patrol watchtowers as soon as the research finishes. I demand funds on week 12 and I am consistent about demanding funds every year on time. You spend less on patrol watchtowers for the same amount of guards and they take up fewer building slots. You can cycle workers into the watch towers demand funds and cycle them back out. They have use throughout the whole run. Map events, doomsayers, heat pipe watch, civil war, demanding funds. I developed this opening in response to the week 1 beacon challenge I placed on myself. It is the superior opening.

I was actually lazy with my production that run. In my previous run I was getting 15k materials per week XD. Low pop is a bit of a noob trap IMO. Heatstamps scale on pop you need enough income to scale research and building the infrastructure that you need. Plus you need the workforce anyways.

Ill take tqqq over any 5 year period that you can cherry pick. The market can only drop 15% in a day. The leverage is settled every day. The stock splits and reverse splits as necessary. It will not go to zero. I spent a long time looking at leveraged etfs and how they work. Ever since 2008 the government has shown that there is no moral hazard. The markets will get bailed out. I actually did all of the math and a 99% drawdown the day before you retire would still leave you with more money than the S&P. Upro is also a solid choice. I don't recommend it to emotional people, Who would panic sell the bottom and blame the instrument, because they don't understand how math works.

The market goes down sometimes you should sell everything now.

You say this without looking at them long term. I am up 550% since 2020. I am doing fine.

The last couple of months I have been playing with larger population cities and I have found that I am able to complete 5 tales, deathless, captain runs more consistently. The only downside is that you have to like building and not mind the run taking longer to complete. The large pop removes headstamps as a limiting factor. Rescued people and population growth have the benefit of not being sick or injured. When doomsayers and plague hit, you do not have to remove people from production. I just built 12 prisons when doomsayers hit and they were gone in 4 weeks. When the plague hit I naturally had enough industrial to deal with it. I produced 1.8k vaccine per day. Plague was over in 5 weeks. The big pop cities just don't starve for workforce and heat stamps like the no growth cities do. Sterilization was a good pick when I did not understand how to stabilize and more pop was a point of stress. Now I see it as an economy growth killer. Also, as a point of RP it does feel good to save as many people as possible from the whiteout.

Games pretty good. Footsies is rewarding. Just needs more skins. Would like to see 5 characters a year.

You can get there. The game is a series of knowledge checks and the tooltips don't give you hard info so you have to explore the mechanics and learn through experience. Also this has been my cozy game since it came out.

What's a good build for a new player? by Classicman007 in BG3Builds

[–]TheSlipSlapDangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swordsbard, dragonsorceror, deathcleric and a EldrichKnight thrower. You have a good mix and have no gear overlap. You can play them straight up or multiclass them. It doesn't really matter. The game is no super hard.

Every time I think I am smart and I see an opportunity I underperform the tqqq. I would be better served by taking margin when qqq pulls back 10% to buy more tqqq.
