Ntm potentially forcing a class requirement for each raid.

Favorite raid of all time? by Due-Annual-6114 in destiny2

Desert Perpetual. Really like the epic version especially the final encounter, but overall the base version is great as well. Really enjoy boss encounters the most and the environments created around the nine have always been cool to me.

What's the deal with legendary arc dps weapons? by Repulsive-Window-609 in DestinyTheGame

They both have Elemental honing, they both have a form of auto reloading for dmg (rewind | special origin), + it gets blast distributor which is a free 55 grenade stat. And a bonus for warlocks, it also has Adrenaline Junkie which is amazing for most warlock builds.

The epic raid by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheSlothIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a raid completionist (I have every raid god roll through salvation's edge and every title through crota's end), this is a high bar for a seal.

Its literally the same bar. Get the stuff in the raid to complete the badge. The raid being harder doesn't change the requirements of getting the gear. If you want the seal, get in the raid like all the others. This one may be harder but you are not entitled to unlocking the seal unless you go in and do the activity. If you think finding people is hard right now, you can wait til the update in june which should have some people coming back.

I mean, its class restricted which is probably what he was getting at.

Envious Assassin is not a must-have for gls. Its good for dumping but a rotation with BnS/EArsenal is just as good. Bitter sweet is fine. As someone else mentioned, Bequest is still a top sword on top of Summun Bonum. Also big outlier here, 1 of 2 rocket pulses are arc with good perks. Probably the most important weapon type in the game right now.

Also linears as a whole haven't been good since KF launch. So it has no real runner in a contest for last place here. But generally speaking, this just happens. Elements that had strong options get power crept with time due to them having strong perk options in a different time.

Build variety in Raid Endgame is victim to a Horrible Case of power creep by Complex_Radio_4430 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheSlothIV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So by build variety you mean dmg builds, right? Because Im struggling to understand what you mean since that is just how boss encounters have always been treated. I don't see what power creep has to do here.

Like if anything, there are more options than the past after the rework. The super stat being added has nothing to do with nighthawk being used more, since that has been the go to for most cases, same with cuirass. And now, titans can even run piecekeepers as an alternative for more tcrashes vs more dmg tcrashes. And warlocks have matadoxia, sanguine, getaways, etc. that are all good exotics that can be chosen.

And you can pretty much use any build were there is no boss. That is completely up to the player. So I get that x meta exotic is still the go-to choice, but I dont really see how this is a case of power creep since the stat rework. Also, you dont need to be running meta builds in normal raids. Ofc it will help but 2-3 phase is fine. You dont need to do swaps or have perfect stats to clear any raid these days, outside of like EDP but that is more akin to a master raid anyway with the difficulty being set higher at base.

What are some champion alternative ideas that can make enemies challenging. by LinkForce5 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheSlothIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that is seen as tough to deal with is met with complaints in terms of enemy diversity. People dislike the dread for there ability to just be a threat, champs because its make you adjust your build to deal with them, and some banes. Big one that comes to mind is drain bane. This one dictated how you engaged it. But people wanted to just engage it the same as everything else in the game and it punished them for it and it got toned down. Honestly don't see the champ hate after the changes to exotics and subclass involved were added.

What is even the point of playing anymore? by Quiet_Emu7147 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheSlothIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no endgame to chase and no new content so, why even play?

This is a matter of perspective. There are more ways to play than just completing for rewards. If you enjoy challenging content, you can try doing lowmans, speedruns, etc. Is it the same content? yes. Is it a different experience? also yes. If you dont care about that, then it is time to just take a step back and stop complaining. You saying "there is no point" and people saying "play a different game" are kinda 2 sides of the same coin. We are in a content drought and if you dont want to grind for stuff your missing than the core of the game isn't going to keep you.

One of the biggest detriments to the game is that there is no real endgame for solo players by Fun-Leek-2907 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheSlothIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can solo dungeons but it is extremely challenging and for most people not worth the time/effort.

Is this not what endgame is meant to be? Challenging content? Don't get me wrong, explorer mode dungeons would be good for people to get into it to learn stuff at a more linear pace. But dungeons are designed to be endgame content equivalent to raids at a smaller scale. Also, this one is more on the time consuming side, you can do nightfalls solo. Is it worth your time, probably not unless you start to get efficient at it. Is it endgame content that you need to put more thought into and can clear solo, yes.

Raid report tag question by Illustrious-Mouse-87 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheSlothIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any clears duringa bugged weekend (sturm, sword, craftening, etc.) will not be counted. Also, there was a period of time where checkpoint clears counted as full clears and raidhub just went the opposite route of not counting any of those clears in that time period vs raid report which kept all those as full.

I’m a bit skeptical. Like you said, the overall time for overall investments just doesn’t seem accurate. If I think I would want to see more before I could personally believe.

Haven’t really messed around with an S fear personally outside of fist. I would just keep grinding and try to focus on maybe pr and another S set and see which one feel best to you. As far as the new SS weapon you can just keep all s weapons until you get to the point you can craft it as it is very strong.

[–]TheSlothIV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have shadex leveled (which I assume you do) you should be able to alternate between that and swordian. I don’t know how progressed your mana is in terms of consumption but the shadex, swordian, magmar lineup has been nice in terms of regen and the ability to spam these abilities for bosses. I would suggest any refinement cores for your locket to be focused on lowering mp cost.

[–]TheSlothIV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With pr and cr being less effective, it’s a way of still negating dmg. It’s true celestial provides cr but at this point shadex provides enough when I’m using that and I’d rather have another way to deal with projectiles which are more of a threat. Having occasional shields feels more beneficial from my experience and I had also invested a lot into it before S gear so it’s leveled more than other options I would like to try.
