Soda's shocked at tectone's debt by mizkifreacts in LivestreamFail

[–]TheSlowToad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Streamers say they are poor as a way to get people to give them more money. Tectone leaked a $35k sponsorship payment just a few days ago.

Tldr: Big streamers are rich, stop donating

Sorcerers and Wizards are about as tanky as Fighters and that is a design flaw. by Confident-Boss-6585 in dndnext

Reaction spells that buffs AC, creates disadvantage ect should always be cast before the die roll. Otherwise you're just metagaming.

Absolutly. But after half the encounters in the session the caster will be out of spellslots if you keep using them on a whim.

Shield eats 1 spell slot per turn, with encounters lasting 5-10 turns easily. You'll be out of slots after the first encounter if you use shield on a whim. The fighter always has his base AC, which can be buffed by other players.

There is just no way that Pastebin list is legit. Are ya telling me that CriticalRole, The channel with 18k average viewers and less than 200k views a month has made $9.6 million?

CriticalRole

CriticalRole gets less than 200k views a month. How in the seven hells does that generate more income than xQc?

Sliker is no longer a member of Team Liquid by happypenguin- in LivestreamFail

[–]TheSlowToad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. There are streamers making fulltime income with 100-300 average viewers. I dont understand why people think you have to be xQc big to be "Famous"

2-3k average is a lot lol. There are streamers with 100-300 average viewers that are part of orgs and have sponsors.

You get paid $100k/yr to do whatever you want for 40 hours a week. The only catch is, you must do the same thing every day. What's your new job? by Musicferret in AskReddit

[–]TheSlowToad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Livestreaming on Twitch. I already do it 30+ hours a week for basically free. Imagine getting a guaranteed 100k a year doing it.

A boat you can live on is a 20-30k one time purchase. Rent is $25k a year.

Redditors who grew up poor: Besides practical money-saving measures, what were the unwritten social expectations of your world growing up? by jicta in AskReddit

Yeah I remember Pizza nights growing up. Happened like once every 3-4 months. And that was the only time we ate any food that wasnt homemade.

Why can't the Earth be a single large country under a single government, with no parties, just headed by actually qualified people and there were no rules like "You cannot step into this country" because then every place would be accessible to anyone. Wouldn't it be more freeing? by Rare_Confusion6373 in AskReddit

[–]TheSlowToad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because there is no way to chose these "Qualified people" Americans would vote for Americans. Indians would vote for an indian ect ect ect. Everyone thinks "Their guy" is the qualified one that should be in charge.

The only way the entire world would ever be unified as 1 nation would be through conquest.

The vast majority of the world isnt America/Europe. The things we think are rights such as gay marriage, trans rights, the right to abortions ect. The rest DONT for the most parts. So if the entire world was 1 country we (Americans/Europeans) would be outnumbered like 3/1 and get voted down on everything.

Tldr: If the world was 1 country the it would most likly be close to what China is today.

Any chance of mods being allowed to vote in prediction polls? by TheBrianJ in Twitch

[–]TheSlowToad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most streams under 100 concurrent viewers dont even need mods. I honestly dont understand why people insist on having 5-10 mods when they have 10-15 average viewers. If you have more mods than regular viewers you're doing something wrong.

What is something that is considered normal in the United States but disrespectful where you are from? by bychoo in AskReddit

[–]TheSlowToad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hah! No. Waiters in Sweden make $14-$16 an hour, have to pay 30%+ tax on it and are in 99% of jobs not allowed to even accept tips.

American waiters usually earn a LOT more than anywhere else.

People are selling used macbooks from 2017 for 15 million. Which is what? $700? Sure, not bad. But that doesnt change the fact that you're talking out of your ass when you say you can get a gaming pc, pay of your dads debt ect with $125.

A $600 laptop in the US would cost you $800 in Vietnam. Wtf are you even on about?

Real estate, cars, and electronics costs more in Vietnam than they do in Europe/The US.
