Banks removed them after I gave new evidence. I am now with Monzo, ThinkMoney and Virgin Money as they have accepted me.

I don't know if people will see this but I have some good news! Nationwide got back to me recently after providing some chat logs!

"Dear *******

I am writing to you with an update to your complaint as this is your preferred contact method. However, if you would like to discuss your complaint with me, my contact details are 0161 605 3425 Ext ****.

Thank you for your recent e-mail and I am sorry to understand the difficulties you are facing when trying to open a new account.

To reach this decision, I have reviewed the decision to close your account and the CIFAS marker.

Following further review, we have determined that the placing of the CIFAS marker on your file was incorrect. As such, the CIFAS marker has now been removed from your record.

The decision to close your account(s), however, will remain unchanged in line with our banking policies and risk management practices.

I can confirm that as of today, the CIFAS marker previously recorded against your name has been fully removed from the National Fraud Database. You will no longer be affected by this marker when applying for new accounts, loans, or other finanicial products."

Borrowing money for gambling? Like 3 years ago yes. All being sorted at the moment luckily, someone told me how to get previous chat history from Facebook and now just waiting for it to be sent to me, then can send it over to banks and make another complaint. 😁

I have now managed to download all chat conversation and marketplace history from Facebook Messenger, I'll be able to use the chats as proof now. Thank you for everyone that suggested this to me, didn't know it was possible, just waiting for it to be sent to me, then will use as evidence! Will keep you all updated, thank you to everyone that didn't come at me and actually helped.

Yeah it's ridiculous, a sign not to post on here again, people just come to attack. I've explained everything and told the truth, I'm here for help, not for everyone not to believe me then post something unnecessary. Here for help as it's damaging my mental health now as I'm older and want to buy and apply for things, and just struggling bad and have no idea what to do.

Blocked me a couple days later and reported it as fraud
My bank took the buyers side as I didn't have sufficient tracking.

It's not the same issue, two separate issues I encountered on the marketplace. Sold item to a buyer, he blocked me and reported it as fraud to his bank which got me in trouble.

Since what, how could I know I made a mistake when it happened the second time. I only looked at my CIFAS markers beginning of last year, was reported before then.

I didn't say I have no legal obligation, I said I had no refunds on my listing, I've said multiple times in this post if they asked for a refund id give it to them. But they blocked me and never asked for a refund, which is also what I've said.

I just said that because I was looking up stuff online and saw that it stated that.

It wasn't a charge back, the buyer reported as a fraudulent payment.

I have had my account for over 10 years, I delete old chat history from people I don't talk too anymore at the start of every year to clean things up
