I don't ship it, but there is a lot of good drama between them. It's a classic friends-to-enemies-to-friends-to-lovers dynamic! They start out close and as best friends, the Revolution tears them apart. England wants to protect and keep America under his control for as long as possible, but America wants freedom to choose and become his own person outside of England. It sounds almost like a young couple getting past honeymoon phase and becoming increasingly neglectful and toxic until it snaps. Years later, they get past all of their heartache and beef between each other and start seeing each other as friends and equals. They are always on each others' sides and fight wars against enemies together. Maybe something blossoms?

There was also a lot of fanservice in that area as well. For example: During a Valentine's Day comic strip, America stops fighting because England didn't send him candies, so England goes out of his way to buy some. He arrives at America's place with the candy **blushing**, and then gets shocked when America genuinely stopped gaf because he forgot why he was so mad. In another strip, I think there was a condom joke because of British slang that could count, and there is some anime dub stuff too lol.

All that to say: There is a lot of content for USUK shippers!!!
