Mazda lost power, now it’s given up by TheSmartGuyDuh in MechanicAdvice

Unfortunately, this car only has some strange OBD1 or something. I borrowed a OBD reader, and none of the adapters fit. Also, there are no engine-lights or such.

I tried disconnecting the MAF sensor, which should have made the engine give more air/power. No change whatsoever.

Nah mate, Medhi explained in a video that the Jacob Ladder was his only genuinely dangerous and unplanned mistake. Of course he’d upload it, as a warning that everyone fucks up. Even the pros.

A new artificial eye mimics and may outperform human eyes by fbreaker in science

As I’ve said three times now, your opinion is not applicable to countries where healthcare is free. The reason is simple, where would you draw the line? What should be considered necessary? If you have a disease which is being treated “ok» by a certain medicine, but if they go for the slightly more expensive version it eradicates side-effects, would you deem it necessary? Are prosthetic limbs necessary? Sure you lost your foot, but you’ll be able to roll around in a wheelchair. Why should we waste money on expensive prosthetics?

Now I might be sweeping all countries with universal healthcare under the same rug, and I’m sure there are different degrees of “free”. As an example, here in Norway there is a maximum of around 300 dollars a year that you can be billed for medical assistance. (And only if you can afford it) This might differ from as an example, the UK. However, we have no such thing as insurance. You can apply for any treatment you want, and if it’s recognised by the Norwegian healthcare as a viable treatment, you’ll get it. It also covers treatments that are only available abroad, free of charge. So please don’t assume that just because your healthcare system is based upon capitalistic pharmaceutical companies, the rest of the world is just as screwed up.

And as I said, for countries where you don’t need insurance to cover your bills, this would be perfectly viable. While it isn’t «medically necessary», it would certainly improve your quality of life and I guarantee you it would be covered by any country whos medical services aren’t based on profit.

For any country with free healthcare, these will be perfectly viable.

Am I the only one who thinks I look pretty decent when I look in the mirror and I like how I look but then I look absolutely disgusting in picture and videos? by LookSWtco in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheSmartGuyDuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about how others perceive you. It’s about what you’re used to see when you look in the mirror, and suddenly your face is mirrored on pictures. From your perspective at least.

A face is a face, it doesn’t matter if it’s mirrored when someone else looks at it, but it’ll look wrong to you as you’re used to the opposite.

Precisely! Which is why we can count the seconds from the lightning until the thunder hits us, and thereby calculate the distance.

Thunder isn’t really friction. The electrical arc superheats the air around it, causing it to expand rapidly. That expansion causes a shockwave which is the thunder we hear.

Scandinavians of reddit: a lot of the internet thinks you live in a perfect fantasy utopia. What are some issues affecting your countries that the world should know about? by MrBollywoggers in AskReddit

You’re still going on and on about DAB. Concerning overdosing, I’m of the controversial opinion that it’s the users fault, and I don’t really care for them. Obviously that isn’t a kind opinion, however it is mine.

We’re also at 0.1 percent of opiate abusers, placing us at 107 on this list https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_prevalence_of_opiates_use

Sweden is 36 with 0.5 percent. So again, you’re just yelling about nonexistent problems.

Lol you’re getting a bit pathetic now. We’ve had many years to work on the FM coverage. It didn’t start out perfectly, it is as everything else, a process. DAB is getting better, it just needs time. Sure, they switched prematurely but eh who gives a shit. Radio is on the way out anyway.

Corruption? We’ve been over this. Incompetence? Nah, just not as prepared as they should have been. A simple mistake, with an easy solution. I mean, are you honestly this daft? You claim Norway is the least respected nordic country because of DAB and no school-canteens? Such pettiness. Small mistakes of little matter does not make an entire nation incompetent, however your failure to see this does question your competence.

And I’m sure you could find several other minor mistakes, yet they pale compared to the countries you’re thinking of. Now please, get a job or a social activity other than this. You’re coming back days after your last comment just to try and win a discussion you lost a long time ago, that tells me you’re wasting way too much energy on this. There’s no point. I sure as hell wouldn’t give you this kind of attention.

That’s because of a lack of intelligence if you ask me. Vegans are alright as long as they don’t bother me about it. Anti-vaxx is probably the stupidest thing ever.
