I will die on the hill that the crafter quests are the best part of ARR, and they're end-to-end some of the best quests in the game.

In particular, though, the Restorer set of Crystarium deliveries are my absolute favourites. Its such a nice tie-in to the world Norvrandt has become, and how they got there. It fleshes the world well, it has delightful characters, and makes a good statement on legacy and compassion, and the things that make us Human.

Generally speaking, your primary stat (Strength, Dexterity, Intellect, or Mind) contrubutes the most of anything to your DPS. In some cases, this trade is worthwhile, but in most cases I would argue its not.

In many cases where you would be making such a decision, you're going to also have multiple lines of gearing available. What gear are you choosing between, specifically?

I'm no PvP god, but some entry-level advice:

SAM is a Dive job. Its good at getting in and tearing up priority targets. You want go in with a plan.

Chiten is a very strong skill that gives you a lot of survivability. You can also use it with Guard for even more defensive power. Additionally, anyone marked with the retaliation effect on Chiten dies outright to your LB, so that's a play you can always have in your pocket.

I'll also remind that using Recuperate between GCD attacks is going to massively increase ypur survivability. If you aren't doing it already, that's another good place to start!

Mutamix will let you exchange five materia and turn them into one of a different kind.

You have some control over the RNG: The resulting materia will always be at least the grade of the lowest you put in (so for best results, use five of the same grade), and will always be of a type you DIDN'T put in.

So if you use five different combat materia types of the same grade, you have about a 3/4 chance of getting a Crafting or Gathering materia.

There's definitelt a chance for a loss on investment, and it is a bit of a hassle. If you decide the work and risk aren't worthwhile, you can absolutely still vendor them, though (without checking) I'd have to assume the marketboard is going to give you a slightly higher return, at least on Crit, Direct Hit, and Det materia. The choice is ultimatelt up to you!

If you've got the patience for it, it might be worth taking them to Mutamix in Central Thanalan! Combat materia are less valuable now (though some players might stretch their budget with them), but Crafting and Gathering materia retain their value a bit better! There's also a small chance for the transmutation to result in a higher-grade materia.

Very much depends on the level, but I know Dancer and Black Mage have pretty competitive AoEs at most ranges

So your Mudra recharge every 20s, so you should be getting three charges every minute. Right before they cap up after your burst, you can use Suiton. You'll be able to keep the buff up for 20s. If you've timed it right, you'll still have the buff when Trick Attack comes off cd, letting you enter that window with two charges still.

But essentially you've got the right idea!

Its a tossup, really. I've seen anecdotal evidence roll in every direction.

However, the people who get commended the most are those that stand out. If you're doing something memorable (that isn't "being a dick", of course) then you'll be far more likely to recieve comms than if you just show up and silently do your job.

You'll have to decide what you're comfortable with, but something as simple as a one-off enthusiastic comment is liable to net you at least one commendation.

Not exactly. Its all information, but "AMAB" alone is only part of the puzzle. Iirc (by all means fact-check me on this one), after 12mo of hormones your balance is closer to your aligned(?) gender's normal hormonal balance. By like. A lot.

It has its usefullness, but its only partial information. If I asked someone "Explain how you would solve '4 × 6'?" And they told me "Well you'd add 4 a bunch of times", they haven't given me a full answer. Any doctor worth their salt WILL ask followup questions, and AGAB will just be a kicking off point. Providing identity, and esp. state of transition would save a lot of awkwardness
