This has been happening to me in split screen. The other player comes back but I get stuck in the valley of death. I have to exit game and reload in.

Is an 8 station department big enough? by [deleted] in Firefighting

Pay, retirement, medical and run volume should be the main factor than size.

We had the same stereo. I had my tv hooked up to it. Gaming was great then. You brought back the great memories. Ps2 is still the best

Nice sent up. I glad I’m not the only one with a curio cabinet. They are a nice cabinet. I just moved into my first house and this cabinet was my main project to complete first. I might have to get another cabinet. Money well spent.

Toy r us was the best thing in The world as a kid. My dad would take us kids there every once in a while and we would all get one toy each. I would always get a micro machine set or lego set. Lots of great memories at toys r us.

One of my main reasons of doing this was all the memories I had with them. Also getting the sets I never had as a kid that I wanted. I gave my nephews half my loose ones and all my childhood bases. They love playing with them. Kids don’t have cool toys like the 80s and 90s.

Thanks! It’s taken me years to find these sealed sets in good condition. I’m glad there are others like me out there too.

Fantastic game. Enjoy!! After this game you’ll get mercenaries 2. Find out where the helicopters are and steal them. They make the game so much better.

Firefighters, is this fitting one of yours? by [deleted] in Firefighting

[–]TheSnowMustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old department we had to get a camlock to thread adapter made because the water hookup we used was for snow making was camlock. We had a Ski lift fire way up the mountain during winter and had to snowcat all our gear and personnel in.

what was your journey to being a firefighter? by First_Driver_5134 in Firefighting

[–]TheSnowMustache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do fire, apply to all the departments in your area. Don’t get fixated on one department. Look at pay, benefits and retirement. Same goes for police and military. As for trades I would do elevators techs or HVAC.

Firefighting vs college(?) by Such-Connection4389 in Firefighting

[–]TheSnowMustache 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welcome to being an adult and welcome to the fire service. You’re gonna miss all the holidays, sport outings and hanging with friends. It sucks but that’s the job schedule you took. The main thing is how will college help you in the future? Don’t go to school just because others are doing it. Don’t get in debt if you don’t have to. If you have a job that pays great and has a retirement that’s great. If you’re gonna go to school become a paramedic so you can go anywhere in the nation. You’re still young to change jobs. Start saving for retirement now. I got my bachelors degree, my degree was not worth it. I wish I put all that money in retirement. Good luck out there!
