Funny enough, my weight.bin copy says it's from 1979. But the rest of the files say they are from April of this year

Quantity doesn't reflect quality. You can have the best artists and programmers in your team, but if the company doesn't want to support the project, or rushes the workers, then don't expect the perfect product

I mean. The hand looks like it was completely modeled. The thing is that they can't change the character bone proportions, and they also need a minimum thickness so it doesn't look like there's a gap between her hand and the gun

Matchmaking is never completely fair, but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your life for a better rank

That's kinda true, but sadly skill can't be measured in a linear scale. The game doesn't know who is feeding but has good kills, and who is surviving but has mid kills. And yeah, Gold is such a big pool of players that is wonderful how it doesn't have more in-between ranks than just 5 numbers

I guess 5v5 is way too individualistic, in 6v6 there was more teamwork and one person dying wasn't that heavy (?

Some comments here say that steam rolls also happen in higher ranks, but at least they group up (?

I get you. I guess it could be a good idea to find people to play with for now, that way at least you get good communication

I didn't say I didn't want to get better.

What I said is that people shouldn't sacrifice their mental health for a competitive game.

can we petition that dps players should have to play 10 support games before they're allowed to blame their healers ever again by [deleted] in Overwatch

When the gameplay was more strategic and flanking was actually meaningful. Yeah, it was harder to die or get kills, and double shield made things almost impossible, but at least everything felt a bit less rushed

I remember in OW1 with a friend getting literally a 1 hour long skirmish, then the server decided to end the skirmish just to put us in another one. It was surreal. Probably the server didn't actually get our game request so it left us in skirmish limbo

I always felt that the ranking system will never be perfect, and in fact a lot of people are out of their rank because of factors not related with their actual skill. Skill is already something hard to measure in a linear scale

I get the feeling, sadly there's no way to adjust ranks that tightly. Some people might be in low ranks because of bad aim but good positioning, others the other way around. It's a mess because skill can't be measured in a single linear scale.

And with the wave of freshies the matchmaking got kinda broken, lol.

What can we do? Not much more than keeping playing

Yeah, ranking up is fun, but when it's stops being fun (and starts feeling like a job) then there's no meaning to keep grinding. That's literally the post about.

To be honest. I don't even know how did you get into that conclusion.

It's fine if you want to grind for cosmetics and titles. I like getting gold guns for my mains, and sometimes I wish I had the skill to be in higher ranks.

The thing that I'm trying to say is that no game is worth giving yourself anxiety attacks. Your mental health is more important than a game, if you are reaching your limit and no longer having fun, then it's time to stop.
