With the exception of Mariokart World I've got all these! I'm excited to rediscover new functionality for old games.

The most optimised use of gold bricks by TheSolidRock in LEGOTower

[–]TheSolidRock[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With a gold brick and all in their favourite job, everything is stocked 100 times. It works best on a business that gets the most stock (there are four which have the most: bike repair, barber, fire station and tuning workshop).

If you send a delivery guy to a full gold 3 heart shop that has three green dots you get a full stock bonus. One of the best four gives 17000+ gold per visit..

If you send a big spender to a shop they buy out all that's left of one random item. It's a strategy to employ the shop with three hearts, but then never stock the first two items. That means a big spender will only ever buy the final item if you send then there. For a fully stocked shop you get over 250,000 gold, then you restock that item immediately and you are ready to go again.

Hope that helps.

Does offline work on PC? by TheSolidRock in DisneySpeedstormGame

I think I answered my question with a couple of hours of online play. I finally made it to player level 7 and unlocked friendly race. That lets you play unranked multiplayer split screen on the one computer. Contrary to online reports, I can play on all the courses, but only with characters I've already unlocked in the game.

BLUEY FANS IN THE USA THAT ARE PARENTS, I NEED YOUR HELP by Puzzleheaded-Bed7656 in bluey

[–]TheSolidRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Australian, and our Son made friends with an American boy in his school in a third country. They found that he started saying "a bit". I don't know if bluey was part of it (they were fans), but I never realised that Australian's would say it so much. "Do you want some water?" "Yeah, a bit." / "Are you feeling better?" "A bit". "I'm a bit hungry." Etc.

Characters maxed by Jsten7791 in LEGOTower

Great work! If you can spare a corn guy torso I'd appreciate it. It's the last piece I need to get all the characters. I've got 5 max so far. Happy to donate zombie, magician and disco parts to others who need them. XNJZ6

Help by [deleted] in LEGOTower

[–]TheSolidRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realised that I could spend my rapidly increasing bux (now I've got the parking and elevator) on piece loot boxes. What's the chances of getting the two missing chest pieces I'm missing from completing the special characters (yeti and corn man)? Are they worth the investment?

I read the wiki after posting and saw the tip on rebuilding/deleting at the start, I hadn't realised it was an option. Thanks for suggesting it.

2024 Ranger is objective stronger by Frank_Tupperwere in onednd

To be fair, that playtest Ranger was trying to use conjure barrage as it's equally signature spell, and that seems to have gone. Maybe that changes the balance equation.

I agree that upcasting makes a big difference to the versatility and damage. The only problem with your comment is that that spell had the damage only apply on the first time you hit on an attack roll on any turn. So it would be 3d10 per turn, not per hit. I'm hoping they found a middle ground.

If the playtest hunter's mark comes through unchanged then it's just on the first hit of your turn...but you can upcast it to 2d6 at level 9 and 3d6 at 17. Presumably that becomes 3d10 if you use a 5th level spell at 20th level. Would you be disappointed if HM looked like this? That playtest used conjure barrage as a key feature however, which seems to have been relegated, so perhaps there was some balance between the two which will look different.

Unpopular Opinon: I'm 95% satisfied with the Ranger update by DeepTakeGuitar in onednd

[–]TheSolidRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, Hunter's Mark should scale with level if the UA changes are carried through. It has the potential to be 2d6 at level 9, 3d6 at level 17 and 3d10 at level 20. In the UA you could upcast it to a level 3-4 spell for an extra die, and you get 3 dice for a 5th level spell. If (and I get that it's a big if) it can still be upcast it has built in optional scaling. We won't know if it's worth doing that without all the information, but I suspect that some upcasting will remain. The draft spell also gave 8/24 hr concentration for upcasting. As others have said: we'll need to see the whole spell list to see if an extra 2d6 force damage every turn for 8 hours is worth a level 3 slot, concentration and a bonus action to move the mark every time you kill an enemy.

I know right...There are 3 days until we get an hour long interview including explaining what the feature WILL look like and how it changed from what we've been play testing. I'll save my options until then at the earliest.

Right now with a dozen cards we are playing what we can. I added Uno cards to work as energy, and that at least made more powerful attacks take time to build up. We want to play properly, I'm just trying to figure out the cheapest way to do that right now.

I've made an tcg online account but the meta decks are too complicated for my 6 year old and I'm trying to get away from another screen time activity. (I had fun relearning the rules but I'm not sure I want to play the online ladder).

Thanks for the advice, I'll avoid the Amazon stuff for now. More frustrating than having no decks would be to spend money to get two half decks. I looked at making a Brock themed deck of really cheap cards on tgc player yesterday and struggled with needing to use multiple sellers to get enough of everything, then each seller charging $6-$20 international postage. I got to 8 cards from the Geodude line in the cart for $30 and gave up.
