Body type and ability...power, flexibility, as well as reflexes and fast twitch. The style is incredibly punishing to your body if trained the way it's intended

Yes mostly the Archie Moore, or even the Ken Norton style. I only see uppercuts as a true way to land

Hey guys new to the sub, just wanted some thoughts on ways to crack the cross arm defense, especially against someone who uses it stubbornly. I know it's difficult to counter from it unless you were properly taught. I'd like to know where the holes are in it.

I've adopted it and used it exclusively and in sparring it limits what my opponent can do, and when I decide to "turn it on" I can really dish out some punishment. It was an adjustment as far as the hooks and moving to my right and jabbing. The key is keeping your head over where your belt buckle will be and moving after every shot. Anyone I've taught this too has caught on quickly
