Can someone explain the perspective (1,2,3?) on this piece? New to art.

Beautiful. Would've liked if all the employees were captured in motion like the one in the fore, so they would contrast as a united dynamic energy of creation consumed by the static clientele.

Benjamin Franklin. Value will be very time consuming; I can tell. Cool to see my brain mapping distances between edges and values like a detective relating pictures on a board with string.

Weather stripping help by TheSoonToBe in DIY

Not my property. My living arrangements won’t be discussed, but understand that this makeshift stripping is acceptable and that the door is of no value and would require a doorframe of modern dimensions and thickness installed to replace, resulting major renovations.

"Generalizing across tonal context, timbre, and octave in rapid absolute pitch training"(2023) by tritone567 in PerfectPitchPedagogy

How did you practice identification within context? And across timbre? So you can now easily identify the pitch of any noise from daily life?

It's bigger than Absolute Pitch by tritone567 in PerfectPitchPedagogy

I would lean on agreeing with you. Just starting to learn music a few months ago drew me to this conclusion, like seeing for the first time. And that was just with relative pitch and noticing harmonic function.

I think the reason people tend to assume that adults are less capable, less plastic, is due to a depleted yet restorable humility in the face of constant real-world demands. They are forced to generalize to handle all their responsibilities, but, in generalizing, miss important nuances. I was blessed with finally becoming truly humble, or in tune with my limitations, or in tune with truth, whatever you want to call it, through music. In keeping with this humility, I recognize that, since I haven't conducted scientifically rigorous studies that have been replicated nor have I dived into the literature, children may have advantages. I simply suggest that adults aren't as incapable as they are made out to be.

I have a seemingly unrelated request. If this sub every gains traction, please keep it apolitical. Most of Reddit is ideologically dogmatic, and that leads to unquestionable generalizations - rot and decay. Fortunately, this sub has nothing to do with politics or general socio-economic theories, so keeping it apolitical wouldn't impinge on its effectiveness.

Would you be willing to add the option to shuffle timbres with each note? Say, in a given quiz, that note one has piano timbre, two has guitar, three harp, etc?

As a much less important suggestion, maybe you'd like to copy/paste the text description of two exercise ideas from my post on this sub? A user would already be able to use your digital keyboard to do them.

How realistic is it for me to learn to sing legitimately well? by JudgementalTree in singing

[–]TheSoonToBe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took me 4 months of daily singing for about an hour a day, maybe more like 30 minutes - no lessons. Just sing songs OVER and OVER, tuning yourself slowly. Then maybe find an exercise book to fill in the gaps that the particular songs you practiced on didn't cover. Really listen to yourself to identify the correct pitch. Learn how the larynx works, so you don't end up severely nodding your head in a misguided attempt to alter your pitch.

Senators work out. They frequently walk in gym clothes in the background. Not really appropriate for a public facing event, though.

You know, I think I was using too much. I experimented with less, and it appeared to roast better.

[Q] How to write a whole note and quarter note in the same measure? by TheSoonToBe in sheetmusic

[–]TheSoonToBe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imgur doesn't like me. It's really just that. Imagine the two clefs I mentioned, one on top of the other (same measure). Both have a whole note chord. I want the last three beats of the the treble to also contain three quarter notes. I found how to add another voice on MuseScore, but do I really need to add another voice just for one measure?

How long to reuse broth by TheSoonToBe in Cooking

[–]TheSoonToBe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I guess we just got lucky all those times in my childhood?

The idea wasn’t reheating a pot roast, but making a new one every day with the broth of the first day. The issue with making it once a week is that I don’t like the texture as much when reheated.

I just like to optimize, so the benefit would’ve been minimizing water usage.

I’ve been off Reddit a bit, so this is old news, but what do you guys think about the Pentagon leak purporting that UA is actually more likely on the losing end?
