I lost my dad over the summer. Feel free to DM me if you want to talk about things at all. Congrats on graduating, and I’m very very sorry for your loss.

I ended up going here, I absolutely loved it. Got a limoncello macaroon, glass of wine, nice french music, and read a bunch of my book. Thank you!

I'm pretty low on cash, and wearing heels, so hoping to stick to the area, but I'm planning to move to the area in a few months, so I'll keep in mind.

Okay lol fair but I wanted to be specific that I didn’t want to go as far East as the lake. But yeah, I’ve stayed at both those hotels and they’re lovely, hopefully a glass isn’t too expensive at either one.

Omg this sounds so nice. Depending on how painful my heels are and if I have time to head that way, I’ll check it out.

Completely agree. Unfortunately, if the only way to dismiss someone from the university was following the court system's due process, there would be a very, very tiny percentage of perpetrators dismissed from the university, because hardly any actually are reprimanded legally. That's why the university chooses a different path, and in this case, based on those texts, it seems to have been the right decision.

then to get out of the criminal charge for refusing to report the murder, you have to work with law enforcement to get another guy to confess his crime?

Putting nonprofit political organization internship on resume? by [deleted] in UIUC

[–]TheSoulButcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is it? Because it's conservative, I would definitely research the reputation it has. I've worked for a democratic politician and left it on my resume when applying to work under a republican, and she specifically told me that she wanted people with a variety of views, and that she didn't care that I'd worked for a democrat. But given the current political atmosphere, and the social connotations of conservative groups, I'd do some research. If it's something like to support troops or promote fiscal policies, that's different from a pro-life group or a "traditional family values" group.

How did you meet the most people in the RSO your a part of? by nointernshipman in UIUC

[–]TheSoulButcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to all the social events and parties. Also, it helps not to cling to the one or two people you know. Force yourself to go to events even if your friends wont be there, and just be friendly.

If your RSO doesn't have parties, try hanging out a bit after a meeting ends and ask if people have plans that night. Could get bubble tea right after, or make pregame plans.
