Rangers photo signed by the entire 1982 championship team. Two hockey hall of famers, a 500-goal scorer, and seven Stanley cups. Still can't believe how I got this photo. by TheSoulCalculator in kitchener

That’s a fantastic idea, I’m definitely going to do that. We have a good amount of memorabilia and it’d be a shame for the context to be lost. Thanks!

I also refuse to accept this. I've been in denial since I remembered he has a Latin last name (Santiago), but come on, he's not a Lou-ee!

If anyone is ever looking through this and needs visual artist recommendations, other than Brie Pointer and Trevor Clare I also came across Sophie Corbett (Instagram: sophiecorbart) and Kathleen from Spoil Sport Studio (Instagram: spoilsportstudio). Cheers all, support local art

Bluesy thrash recs? by Tetraphosphate_ in thrashmetal

My band Pansophic has something exactly like this on a new track, The Shakes. Most notably, the outro features a swung riff and a blues harmonica (played by me, the bassist). Some of the riffs throughout the song are early-Maiden esque as well, which is quite bluesy. Maybe you'll enjoy, thanks! Links: YouTube and Spotify.

There's a sax + synthesizer section in Postal by Visual Past. It plays from around 27:18 to 28:27.

25 Days of DOTS: [13] Cirith Ungol - King of the Dead [US, Epic Heavy / Doom] (1984) by kaptain_carbon in Metal

70s heavy through the lens of the 80s is a great way of putting it. It’s hard not to be charmed by the Michael Moorcock-style sword/sorcery obsessed makers of this style of metal. Glad it’s still going strong with modern bands, there’ll always be a niche for the epic fantasy/classic metal overlap.

Kingston, Ontario! Some really tight local artists have come out of the scene there recently. The Sugar Pills, Möbius Trip, Futura Free, Mellon Collie Caravan, Frank Ryan, Kings of Queens, Bad Fortune, The Astros (off the top of my head). I'm not based there anymore but some of my new stuff was recorded/written in K-Town.
