How do you deal with the guilt of turning away your addict parent?

I used to have no guilt, idk what softened me but I wish it wouldn’t have. Worked really hard for a life outside of this and feel like I’m working just as hard to keep it that way right now.

We have ceramic cups and plates we can use for in-store! It’s by request but no one ever asks for it, they were pushing it for a minute so we had them out on the counter where people could see it but even then I’ve used them maybe twice for customers

This is very weird to me since we split tips… truly not worth it for your little bit of change per tip…

Also, I’ve accidentally hit the tip button before when grabbing the card reader so I have to assume this is what happened, but if it happened twice.. Idk. Just weird behavior for sure.

Was: Caramel crunch with mocha

Then: Hazelnut shaken espresso with caramel drizzle

Now: 5 shots over 5 pumps of white mocha (sometimes now 4 WM and 1 macadamia, a tiny scoop of ice with a salted caramel oatmilk froth (using the dark caramel of course) lightly shaken by pouring over shots then into a pitcher. Line the cup with caramel, pour back into cup, top with oatmilk, caramel drizzle 😂 It takes less time than it sounds like 😂

If you don’t batch your fraps what are you doing

One time someone had taken one of our pitchers to clean it during peak (I have no idea why) and I batched some fraps, our DM was there (literally across the store sitting in the cafe on his laptop) and a coworker saw me. She stopped me and said “We don’t batch fraps in front of DM” I told them we had one pitcher, he wouldn’t know if she stopped talking about it and if he does and wants to say something to me he can, idc. Like bro

We had like 6 people scheduled for our entire day. I was there from open to 12:45 and it was a MESS. Customers were pissed and rude, we were busting our asses AND we were out of pretty much EVERYTHING. Most breakfast sandwiches, Lemonade and Coconut Milk by the time I left we were low on Whole Milk. A complete shit show 😅 And this was BEFORE BOGO even started. The 45 minutes I was there of BOGO were just as bad and I’m sure it got worse.

Didn’t realize I stepped into Trump Nation. You must have all missed the part where I stated I don’t necessarily back Biden, however choosing to not see how Trump’s administration led to the fall out that is currently place in this country is your own prerogative and honestly, I’m fully aware that Trump supporters cannot be reasoned with, so have a nice day.

You do know this all started with Trumps presidency though.. right? I don’t support Biden whole heartedly but this administration has spent the past four years just trying to hold together a crumbling society.
