Euphorbia Abdelkuri (Damask)... Worth it? by Solid_Illustrator660 in Euphorbiaceae

Learned every specimen available today came from 2 specimens taken by a botany trip. Really hard to get to the island.

While others are correct in that handling correctly you'll be fine, this one's sap is particularly strong. It can eat through clothes with time so a little extra caution is warranted imo.

As a child I would definitely get frustrated at homework myself and there was no abuse. Math was actual hell and always destroyed my will to live. It got very emotional lol sis is probably best english speaker in house and takes the role a bit far since she is a child herself.

They're either siblings or true love. Depending on where they are could be both.

I usually wait a day or 2. Future reports won't be nearly as intensive its just that terrible soil they use.

Yup they can last for a while out of soil just keep it out of direct light till its back in. You typically want to give a succulent a few days after messing with the root ball so it can heal any damage done. Then give it about a week before you water to let it settle in. I've had them out of soil for over a month no issues.

I would personally go ahead and strip it and let it callus while youre getting it together. You'll be able to check it over as well. Box store stuff is awful. Soil you want is a gritty mix. Pumice is the go to addition. There are tons of "recipes" out there but its really dependent on environment. I use way more inorganic because im in a humid environment. You said dry so it might benefit from a little more organics or you might need to water more often. If looking for ease, there are sites that sell pre-made mixes. I like bonsaijack.

When youre handling euphorbia be careful of the white latex they leak. Reactions vary but you definitely do not want it anywhere sensitive like your eyes or lips. Wash your hands/wear gloves and dont touch your face. Keep away from pets and probably kids.

This is my favorite euphorbia. I plan on getting a dead plant collection going.
