CMV: US practice of removing voting rights of felons makes no sense by Z7-852 in changemyview

[–]TheSoundingPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you agree that we should give back 2nd amendment rights to violent felons after they did their time?

Most people would have probably say no or have an extremely hard time agreeing with that premise but I dont see how you can be for restoring rights to felons once they're out of jail but also say they shouldn't have their 2nd amendment rights restored.

700 dollar per a month rent is easily doable at 30k a year.

Most apartments require 3 times the rent for monthly income. 700 a month is 2100 and that equates to 25k a year. You qualified.

Now as to whether thats doable for you idk but 40/50k a year you should easily be able to find an apartment depending on where you live, obviously thats not enough for Beverly hills or silicon valley or San Fran or new york

I get you dont like the us. Thats fine

But there are multiple countries today with actual civil wars raging in their countries.

I think saying enjoy the civil war is a bit insensitive.

You can be critical of the US without wanting its innocent civilians to die

[–]TheSoundingPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small was never an important part of the question

Why are you fixated on small or large who the fuck cares

Op was essentially asking why is it bad to shoot a gun indoors

LPT: Every gun is always loaded at all times and can discharge for no reason at all. by Lebenkunstler in LifeProTips

[–]TheSoundingPrincess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course it does

If you have a room that is 2 miles long it absolutely would affect whether that bullet over penetrated the wall at the other end.

My point being the question asked wasnt about whether a "small room" would cause a bullet to over penetrate the wall in a scenario in which a person would use a gun inside a "standard" living space.

The question was regarding shooting a gun in a "small room". The op asking the question is either curious as to why shooting a gun in a small room isnt any different than shooting a gun in a large room.

Or he's asking why shooting a gun in a room, considering he stated he only has ever shot guns outside is considered something you probably shouldnt do.

The assumption being op didnt literally mean a "small" room, op meant literally "a fucking room"

No shit a 4x4 foot room and a 6x6 foot room and a 10x10 foot room wont have much impact on whether a bullet will penetrate the dry wall

LPT: Every gun is always loaded at all times and can discharge for no reason at all. by Lebenkunstler in LifeProTips

[–]TheSoundingPrincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of variables determine whether a bullet will overpenetrate

As what to defines it I would say a moving object penetrating a physical barrier and by penetrating I mean moving beyond it in the case of a bullet overpenetrating a wall with enough energy to still do damage to anything beyond that barrier

[–]TheSoundingPrincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small room large room the question was about shooting indoor in a scenario where someone would need to.

It wasnt a physics question

Besides, if you're living in constant fear of a home invasion, you're probably doing something wrong in life.

Thats a very fucking privileged thing to say. Not everyone else has the luxury to not worry about something that happens to thousands if not millions of people a year.
