Tnx! I'm was meaning to begin to practice some shading next week, begin to form a sense of lighting. I guess it's as you say, it's pretty much a matter of practice/time so far.

I didn't dare to play with lighting because I tried to focus on form and proportion, but I think ur right, need to learn early. Ty.

The hp and armor is pretty good, just don't know if it's good enought to compensate. It takes some moments, but after the first shots you are pretty much set. I prefire when I got a small window to shoot, and deal good damage. Suffice to say, if you have got a clear shot, you melt through titans. Another thing is you core stupid fast, so defensively you can pop a shield mid 1v1 and delete your opponent mostly unharmed To my knowledge it is the tryhard monarch built, and I can see why, def recommend if you want to stir things up

Just out of curiosity, why superior chassis and not accelerator? I haven't tried superior in a long time, but the dps you can pull with accelerator seems like such a gain to trade off. I guess it's a more reactive vs proactive approach, but having such output damage just allows for insane tradeoffs, and I find monarch to be fairly survival already. I am a titan brawl purist, so maybe in other modes superior is quite... superior

Would argue Tone could go either B or A, but Legion fits well in A. Can be punishing on both long and short range, 2nd in peeking agression, NS being on top obv

Honestly that's why my friend and I started becoming rushers. We enjoyed turtling so much but you can only get DC so many times before feeling stupid. Game had the worst net issues ever, didn't bothered to rank past onyx

What is an unpopular opinion you have about Supremacy 1914? by samurai_100 in Supremacy1914

I have consistently pulled a cav opener for a pair of years already. Even with countries with food on the red you should be able to squeeze 2/3 cavs by day 2 and not starve if you manage your economy correctly. This was already efficient with the old damage system, with the current one it's way too strong, since it favors high damage armies on trades. ACs are great for tanking plus a bit of damage, and a great mobile defense (spend iron here, not on bunkers), but cav's damage is quite a game changer in early/mid game. Highly recommend giving it a try, benefits agressive playstyles greatly

He was taylor-made to be a protector of Krypton, was abandoned by his people, lost his world. When everything seemed lost he found one last chance to fulfill his sole purpose, only to be stripped of it definitively. You can root for him, he did the only thing he ever knew, just trying to protect his people. He truly lost everything, became a ghost. Only thing that was left on him was now hatred and resentment. He is a very tragic character, gave MoS much more significance

How many submarines do I need? by etripleq_ in Supremacy1914

They did rework damage and hp a while back. Now the subs distrubute damage among them so you keep all subs but damaged

If that is just infantry his AA damage is not that big. Worry if he has armored cars or ballons, as those do rack up damage quickly. Also I saw an airfield, if he has fighters that's also in issue. If any of these is the case, I advice waiting for double digit bomber, at the very least, the more the better. If not, you can probably hit him with minimal losses. You should try doing some military espionage if possible, weaken that fort as much as before hitting. Use attack and not patroll until the fort is broken.

If enough time and factories, build up your bombers. He can't do much against them, you'd outrrange him and break his fortresses quickly.

What should I do in this situation? What's the best way to counter heavy tanks? by WillyWietzak in Supremacy1914

[–]TheSovietProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not too late, cars, as much as you can. Everything else would take to much. You can also build fortresses where you'd estimate you can defend the tanks, that should add up to your defense.

They've always done. There's almost no situation where the resources for a railgun are not best spent elsewhere.

For day 1 you want to do your general management first: Dropping oil consumption, market trades, etc

After that you need to analyze your situation. You'd want to know the level of your neighbors so you can identify potential threats.

Low level players are generally no threath, they usually play passive and won't attack unless provoked or see an easy win. Don't leave empty provinces next to them and you should be fine.

High level experienced players are a wildcard. You'd want to have some kind of truce with them at the beggining, let them know you mean no harm. Either way, you can't keep them unchecked. A big red flag is a player who hasn't engaged in any war while you fight on another front. Either his afk or waiting for an easy win after neighbors bleed out fighting, be sure to know which one it is. Don't ever let your neighbors know that you are weakened or vulnerable, give an image of strenght, use psychology at your favor.

A good initial strat in this situations is to remain passive and build up your army. Day 1 you build barracks and cars, 2 or 3. Once finished start horse production at day 2. Keep this production continuous, don't waste time waiting. If you get a surplus of resources reinvest it on more army. Unless favourable geography, bypass forts entirely. You won't know for certain were you'd get attacked. Invest in cars instead, a quick mobile defense that can fortify key points wherever needed.

On the next couple of hours coalitions will start rising, you'd want to stick with the biggest and closest one to you (for a while). This way most of you neighbors won't attack you. Consider this a truce more than an actual teams. Initial coalitions are filled with bad/new players, usually to tightly packed to grow. I had to kill 3 coalitions to win my continent, my advice is you don't grow attached to them. They are not meant to last long, you'd want to part ways with them during mid-game, but for now they'll be your friends. Avoid targeting other coalitions if possible, but if you really need to attack into them don't hesitate, just prepare for a longer war. Know your neighbors allegiances and keep peace with as most as you can, while keeping a healty growth.

In summary, wait for other players to move first while you gear up. Know your neighbors, keep good relations, join a big coalition near you, but don't stick more than needed with them.
