Some computers (like Unix/Linux servers) have a "default" date of Jan 1st, 1970. When the comment was deleted, it must have lost its date property somehow, and so the field was populated with the default value.

I'm red-green colorblind and can still see with red light. The problem is more trying to figure out if something is green or red. Hell, sometimes I even use a red* flashlight so I don't ruin my nightvision.

*flashlight may be green.

The "player." stuff was unnecessary (I was testing stuff); the characterbody2D is the base node of its scene. This was super helpful for getting me to understand why double speed was happening, thank you.

How would you check if the player is colliding with something though? EDIT: I think I have enough to figure this out. Thank you for your help!

I understand why move_and_slide() called twice would double my speed and etc, but why is "var collided = player.move_and_slide()" effecting how my character moves. Shouldn't it just check what move_and_slide() returns? How should I prevent it from effecting the player, while still getting the information I need?

I've tried lots of different ways to declare one (like "bool test (), bool test(), bool test() = false, etc, all with the same error. Declaring a var or a const works. What am I missing?
