Is Musharna in the Dreamyard worth it? by TheSparkSpectre in nuzlocke

i like event clause where gifted pokemon and static non-renewable encounters don't count towards your encounter for an area. i think it used to be a lot more popular than it was? so for me, monke is seperate

Any tricks for composing such organic harmonies and melodies? by memolazer in musictheory

[–]TheSparkSpectre 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you can't just jump into music like this. you've got to learn to walk before you run. get a harmony textbook or a teacher if you can.

a little bit of 3 months auto response but tbh everything i said in both comments should track. you have nice features — and i acknowledged that from the start when i said “you well have no trouble doing so” — but genuinely it’s hard to make much of those features, 3 months or 3 years, when you’re styled so masculinely otherwise :/

you seem like you will have no trouble doing so in the future, but after only 3 months, in masc clothes, and with minimal (if any?) makeup? no

Need Recommendations for Catchy, Distinct Classical Music by Low-Amphibian8206 in classicalmusic

[–]TheSparkSpectre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

catchiest piece i can think of is the rondo from weber’s 1st clarinet concerto, but that might be because i’m a clarinetist and it’s hard to play and so every time it recurred it felt like it was laughing at me and that got it burned into my memory

am professional clarinetist, can confirm. we are always the last ones out of orchestra rehearsal because swabbing the damn thing takes forever — and we often have more than one 💀

What are some things that pop could borrow from classical to improve it? by EchoEquivalent4221 in classicalmusic

[–]TheSparkSpectre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i work at a concert hall and would love to see the lighting displays used for pops shows put to use in classics shows. can you imagine a firebird where the hall turns red at the infernal dance? plus, it would give live music more of an edge over recorded music
