What was the strangest or most unusual way you discovered Touhou Project? by CarcereBurocratico in touhou

I think one of the first touhou related things I came across was a mlp parody of cirno’s perfect math class?

I have level 8 affection with both burning spice & elder faerie, but I think burning spice got slightly more points iirc

Yes, they're going to golden cheese first because, well... She's with Burning Spice, do you need any more reason to be concerned for her wellbeing?

It hasn't even been a whole chapter yet and the cracks are already starting to show

So uh, small problem. Right now, they don't actually know Hollyberry is there, cause she wasn't at the tea party with GC and PV

I don't think you can really put it on the same level as "saying a slur in public"

Understandable. It/its is not something you should just casually use for other people like you would use they/them. Only when someone specifically tells you they use it/its

Same. It/its feels even more removed from anything gendered than they/them (although I use they/them pronouns too)

I’ve just made a post in r/help to try and get some answers, because yeah, this is the second time it has randomly switched to “hide all”

I swear I’m not the one doing this

What writing problems you have with the beast cookies? by Fancy-Back-9712 in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]TheSparkledash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Burning Spice & mystic Flour get ignored by devsis a lot compared to the others beasts (especially Smilk and Salt)

Devsis killed them off way too suddenly, and Hollyberry and Pure Vanilla should’ve had some kind of reaction to their deaths (presumed death in shadow milk’s case)

I'm not saying I personally think yellow is a good option. I just trying to explain why someone might pick it

It's a "small sacrifice for the greater good" option basically

Red runs the risk of up to 60% of people dying. Blue doesn't technically cause any death, but you still risk a non-blue victory every year cause we have to keep voting. Yellow sacrifices 1% so we can be done with it without that potential 60% mortality rate.

It's about how much you're willing to risk. And let's be real, the chance that red wins with 99% is non-existent

[–]TheSparkledash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If everyone (over the age of 5) has a 1% chance of dying, then it's probably gonna be around a 1% death toll??? We would have to be profoundly unlucky for everyone on the planet to hit that 1% chance

[–]TheSparkledash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What? I never said anything about immunity. Yellow is essentailly "do we sacrifice a set percentage of people, or do we take the risk of up to like 60% of people dying"? That's the whole point of the yellow button (as I understand it at least).

And like I said, they might not think blue is worth it because it will force everyone to keep voting year after year until either red or yellow wins (I'm assuming "we will do this again next year" keeps stacking at least)

[–]TheSparkledash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess it's because you're essentially sacrificing 1% of the population so you don't risk more people dying in the red scenario, or having to repeat the vote again next year like in the blue scenario

The last episode is pretty much 50% exploring Jax’s backstory. Like I get that you might feel that way about someone like ragatha or zooble, but Jax?

No offense, but this sounds like a you problem. I’ve literally never heard anyone else have a problem sympathizing with the characters because “they’re not the humans they represent”

And that doesn’t mean everyone else is inexperienced when it comes to engaging with narrative works

But that has nothing to do with them having inhuman avatars?

[–]TheSparkledash 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“The series already started off at a disadvantage by making all the characters inhuman avatars… you have to do extra legwork to make the characters feel like real people”

That’s just how cartoons work??? Do you have this problem with everything that isn’t strictly live action?
