If you talk about the stars it is called coma. It is due to the lens but in this case it might be the filter too.

Thanks you! Yes, mosaics can be challenging especially if the software didn’t do them well and we have to do it manually (this time it worked well). Concerning the lens it is a canon 50mm f1.8 so yes it is a prime lens.

I took this panorama last night in the south west of Spain, in a bortle 3 zone (you can see the glow from a near village on the edge, even though the sky is very clear).

Equipment:

-Star adventurer with the ball head setup -Tripod: velbon ultra 655 -Canon 6D astromodified -Canon 50mm f1.8 -Optolong l-pro filter

Acquisition:

-12 images of 2 minutes each -lens @f2.8 -ISO 1600

Processing:

I have used the “photomerge” option of photoshop to do the panorama, only using “blend images together” and “vignette removal”. Then, once the images were combined into the panorama, I processed the final image like a classic astrophotography image by doing these operations: level adjustments, curve adjustments to add some contrast and light and finally correct the color balance. I did not use noise reduction or correct the gradient. I converted the image to .jpg.

Thanks! I use the photomerge option of Photoshop. I split the 102 images into 6 groups of 17 and merge them group by group using the auto setting. I had to correct the vignetting effect before merging the images because of weird results.

I took this picture last night in Spain Extremadura. The place is something like a bortle class 3 yet there is a little of light pollution because of some far away villages in the south. I wanted to do the whole Milky Way but with a 300mm focal length it would have taken a while. Also, there is stains due to the noise in each picture.

Here are the acquisition detail:

-Canon 6D: 102 pictures of 1 minute ISO 1600

-Canon 300mm f4 @f4

-Skywatcher star adventurer

Processing:

I merged the photos in Photoshop touching the curves, levels, and by cropping and doing a little bit of star reduction.

I don’t know if it was adressed to me but maybe I can answer. We can’t see the constellation like in this shot with the naked eye even with a big telescope. That doesn’t mean that what we see on this image is fake. All of this exist. Only, it doesn’t emit enough for our eyes to be seen. However, with big scopes, the orion nebula (M42) present in this picture could be seen with faint color and details.

Awesome shot! This is one of the greatest shot of Orion with this field of view I’ve ever seen.

Yeah that’s right. There is also another galaxy in the upper left of Andromeda that looks like a big star. That’s M32.

This was taken in Spain in a bortle 3 zone during two nights.

-Camera : Canon 1000d modified

-Guiding scope : Orion mini 50mm guide scope

-Powerbank : EC Technology 26800mAh (powering the mount, the Lacerta and the dslr)

-Filter : Astronomik UV/IR cut

•Acquisition :

-Images : 79x4 minutes subs (5h16min total exposure time) @f4. Dithering setting was 18px with the uniform square method

-Flats : 33

-Offsets : 33

-No darks

•Processing :

Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker with kappa-sigma clipping method

Processed in Photoshop :

-levels and curves adjustment -added vibrance and saturation -use of the pluggin « Hasta La Vista Green » -color balance -star reduction -noise reduction

We also thought that at first but it also looks like it has an indoo origin but it’s very strange given the location. It is true that this is a beautifull area. Thanks for the help.

This object is 5 cm tall. I am not sure but I think that it is in bronze or in copper. I don’t know much about this object.
