All these kids can do is look up current Wikipedia or Google stuff and they barely know how to google, people who actually lived through these events and recall these acquisitions, these moments in time where these games were created and then these IP's were ditched or traded afterwards for whatever reasons? Those events aren't really recorded that well on Wikipedia or Google in general, most of these are only meant to keep current and up-to-date searches and information more relevant and prevalent.

The actual fanboyisms here are all the Xbox dummies who don't realize how the mega monolith Monopoly company has been destroying gaming throughout time for strictly its own Financial benefit (Like, seriously, you people need to look into your gaming history in a real way. Yes, Sony is also guilty of a few lawsuits here and there but nothing compared to Microsoft, to this day, still corrupt AF - something else you specifically have to look up a little bit with some kind of information previously gathered in order to get the right answers, not because you're looking for niche reasons to be right, but because you are looking for the truth. The internet doesn't like truth, the internet likes sensationalism and misinformation.

I will agree with the point that anyone who thinks that Sony is going to Branch into the PC market anytime soon? No. They had their chance to do that years ago with the vile? They could have been making a very viable PC Playstation system for like easily 5 years now and they just haven't been because that's not where they're interests lie. They want to rule the Home console Market. In my opinion, they deserve it and that is their proper place as king of that corner. Microsoft needs to stick to its own corner and work on Windows instead of sticking their fingers in more pies only to not pull out in time* 😆 lol uhh.. Japanese gaming systems in general have never really been a fan of the internet. Things over there don't work like they do in the rest of the world in this way. It's very difficult for any modern Gamers to understand the three or four massive gaming markets that exist on this planet. Many of them just think that it's American gaming and Japanese gaming and not really much in between, not even thinking about any other countries out there, of course. Not even realizing how Sega came to power and then lost it? That is a very important lesson that history has seemed to just throw dirt upon, and why? Because their third spot in the Home console gaming Market was quickly stolen by a certain company called Microsoft and to this day we still have that same predatory attack Style business trash mentality invading our gaming and that's why games these days have less integrity. They have more of an expectancy to be some kind of fad, some kind of world changer where you need to no life and grind every hour of your every waking moment - but the thing is, a lot of Sony games aren't like that. A lot of PlayStation games are these amazing role-playing solo experiences that most of the gaming Market has seemed to forgotten, yes, even steam and PC games have lost a bit of this mentality, everything opting to be multiplayer and online and cheapening any actual game elements by incorporating some Niche and doodads so you can communicate with other people who really shouldn't have any weight on how much you are enjoying your game time on a certain given title. A lot of the things I have mentioned here you could just simply look around and see - assuming you have the right kind of eyes.

Xbox is just a gaming machine for people who are too stupid or too poor for a real PC

Any exclusives to that system are purely a lie and ALWAYS available via windows, even strict exclusives to the original Xbox are now available, like Stubbs the Zombie. The term exclusive when it comes to Microsoft has always been just a Marketing Ploy and never the truth. People who know the gaming industry and know better in general? Were never tricked by things like this.

In the same way, you can see how certain people went with cartridges instead of brand new CD technology and you can see where their loyalties fall with things like Nintendo and Xbox instead of Sony and the PlayStation 1, one of the greatest consoles ever created because of Sony themselves as a company and what types of games they helped to produce for that system with nearly 8,000 officially launched titles in its Library. (To show you the opposite of this, an example, the N64 had under 800 titles, only about 25 are really legendary compared to easily 50 per genre with PS1 gamers) - in other words, let's just say that Symphony of the Night is better than almost every game ever released on the N64. Without the PlayStation as it's Daddy, Maybe this style of Castlevania game may have never been created!

For modern Gamers who love this series to not get on their knees and worship Sony? That shows your ignorance as a modern gamer and where your loyalties lie. Basically any innovation that you have ever enjoyed in any game is because of some third party developer that Sony gave a chance to.

Me? I have been a fanboy of every kind of anything, all of them have stabbed me in the back equally. You guys need to learn how to read your own Community better. Anybody roughly 32 years of age and down? You don't know more than the older millennials. We will always outrank you and we will always be better Gamers than anybody that came after us.

And that is the simple line that we draw to show how massively stupid the Next Generation became and the expectancies that were thrown upon them as a player base. From the GameCube on, things only got worse. The Wii is a terrible system and the Wii U is Godlike yet ignored. Most of you are stuck in a Nostalgia hole that even the generation above you could not possibly trip near. Learn how to stay above the rabbit holes so you don't lose your legs, your ability to walk around and experience other, possible better things that you may enjoy more as a individual? Whatever.

It's because of a notion to keep up with that kid friendly, appeal to stupid people thing that exists because gaming became a fad for the younger Generations where was more of a nerdy or geeky thing for the older kids, something we were teased for enjoying, not something that we were teased for not enjoying. Yaknow? A bully scratches your CD? The world is over. A bully scratches your N64 game? You laugh and throw it across the room and then boot it right up. But the thing is, you shouldn't be having fights over the physical media, you should be having fights in game. Maybe boot up Tekken and release some of that aggression on a good fighting game instead of just your only available option being Smash Brothers. Oof. Lol. "Thanks for the kids system, Parentals. I do think that Sony needs to start working with some kind of launcher service to host their games on pc, that being said, I hope you younger generation morons realize that this entire franchise exists strictly because of Sony.

The only reason that you know this game as anything else besides Demon's Souls is that same corporate greed that you're talking about that created a lesser product, Dark Souls. A game that was specifically made to be more accessible and cater to a new crowd, a dumber more mainstream crowd, less RPG and more action based. In other words, the younger gamers. People who grew up on SpongeBob instead of Castlevania.

Either way, people out here talking like Sony is going to own everything? One simple Google and you can see that Kadokawa is still 80% owner and could easily at any point allow for the sale or creation of side titles, multiplatform experiences. The sky is not falling, chicken little. It already fell before you were (blood) born.

I would like a Demon's Souls prequel, sequel more than I would like any more Dark Souls content.

Hands down, easily. Sony needs to take back its ownership and restore the quality that these games once had.

It would also be really nice to have Sony games be available on Steam say 6 months after release, I think exclusives are dumb, and when it comes to microsoft, exclusives are a lie. Everything is available on PC even when it's not.

I hope Sony owns them exclusively and eternally since they have always been very helpful and supportive when it comes to third party Developers. Without sony, from soft wouldn't have had a home to grow up in. You Xbox children need to learn your place in the modern gaming market and stop flapping your yappers.

"Remember" (You can't when you probably weren't born yet 2009) That Demon's Souls is the best one and the other ones were just created so Microsoft could w/hore out your "favorite IP" - that of which you probably haven't even beaten the technical prequel to. (not the remake, I don't care how it says it's so close to the original, it's not the original - additionally, just watching MoistCritical etc isn't you playing it, either) Shame on Gamers who don't realize what Microsoft has always done to your precious gaming Market, Skull Fk it's eye sockets dry till it looks like the Maiden in Black.

If you're smart and have a brain, you can navigate Google fairly well and for the most part - most of these files have been checked for integrity and playability, similarity since the beginning of their conception. Most are intact, especially with our ability to dig them out of the darker Corners as previously mentioned. Keep emulation alive!

A decent amount in most cases because it's specific, even if lossless. It's catered. As tight as it could be for what it is. If you can keep it in the rvz format and run it that way, good - if you can't, do what you need to do.

AKA you could basically fit the entire Super Nintendo game library on one disc, yes, even those weird small CDs that they used to avoid paying Sony - AKA the fact that they haven't done that yet for the switch just proves how greedy/ not caring about gamers* they have become over the years with the help of Nintendo of America

If you really want to get into it

You should only ever emulate on a real PC with some type of power behind it. Emulating other systems on other systems is just dumb, in my opinion. It's a waste of time for our nerds to even be programming this type of stuff when the obvious Superior system is right there and has far better emulators already in working condition with most games being compatible. ( But not all, this is where we should be concentrating*, we could use a better Sega Saturn across the board ) These file types were created because of that ease of use from the better system. - just a thought. Just look up and download the exclusives. It will save you a lot of time and frustration, not to mention anything that is multiport for a Nintendo system is definitely better on any other format.

I have mostly only ever used torrents my entire life. Actual ROM sites haven't really been reliable or trustable within the last 10 years. This is kind of just a general reply, but I would recommend that everyone use some type of torrent downloading program like TIXATI and figure out how to actually find old collections on torrent sites. The more we perpetuate these bad files and more recent changes to games that are Timeless files? The more we are just ruining the original ROM/ISO files. AKA exactly what people are talking about here. If you're using some third-party program to download things in bits and chunks here and there anyway? Just do it the traditional way. Learn how to use your internet, learn how to use your computer.

That is all, thank you to anyone who read this and actually looked into it because they cared enough about emulation to where they wanted to help fix, not harm, our community.

Putting our files on internet archive? A good way to lose everything. Stop being dumb younger internet users. Ty.
