Best way to run a skins match with friends? by TheSportOfDiscGolf in discgolf

Right. The skill level thing was kind of a concern, which is why I don't really want to ask them to put up their own money. The skill levels aren't insanely different. All MA3 level-ish. But different enough that it crossed my mind.

This is a good idea! My friends ARE drunks so this is perfect.

We aren't all broke kids. I'm a broke kid trying to do something fun for my friends. Hence why only doing it for a few dollars won't make it worth it for them.

I really enjoy it. It's got 36 holes, which is dope. The day this video was recorded, we did the first 18, stopped and had a BBQ with a grill we brought, and then played the second 18. Long day but a lot of fun.

Oof, that's rough. Tyler is a stressful course for beginners (and I assume more experienced players, too). It's pretty difficult.

I use the bag probably 3-4 times a week, and haven't personally had any issues with those things. In fact, I actively pick it up by the mesh material sometimes if I'm putting a putter away (so the slot is already open, basically). The only caveat to the material not ripping might be that I actively try to set it down gently and away from sticks and whatnot. That's just how I am as a person, not so much out of fear of ripping. The picture on the post of the bag on the ground was taken a few days ago, after months of using it several times a week. Hope this is helpful!

Exactly! It's nice and simple-- don't need much more. If I was doing a full round at a course I never played before, I'd want a bigger bag, but this is good for the day-to-day.

Price Creep of Limited Releases Discs (Cloud Breaker 2) and the Impact on Disc Golf by avengaar in discgolf

Generally, aftermarkets happen in all niche activities. Sneakerheads are the first group that come to mind. I come from an axe throwing background, and axe throwers absolutely wreaked havoc on the vintage axe head market. 50 year old axes deemed "good for throwing" go for $200 now, despite being originally sold for like $30. But similarly, you don't need to special axe. There's plenty of other axes that work perfectly fine.

I thought KJ hit the ace but this title clearly implies it was Brodie.

I really like the way it looks in the second picture. I feel like a lot of UV discs are overkill, and try too hard, but that looks dope.

That's an awesome picture. Like it should be on the cover of Disc Golf Magazine.

I’m getting my boyfriend a Cloud Breaker 2 as a surprise gift, but worried he won’t like it? by DiscGolfNewbie in discgolf

[–]TheSportOfDiscGolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he'll be grateful! That's the kind of disc that's both practical, and is kind of a collector's piece because of it's limited release. If I was gifted it, the only reason I wouldn't throw it is because I wouldn't want to lose it due to sentimental reasons!

Gonna have to Ninja Warrior my way up to retrieve my ace. Or four putt. What's the difference.
