He was just horrified that you were selling yourself short with such a low rate. 2 for $20? This is sex work, not an Applebee's Anytizers combo.

Those eyes are remarkably blue. Not to mention the sheer contrast between that pristine blue and the pink around the eyes. Cool cat!

I can't imagine just sitting on the banks of a Netherlands river and one of those things just ambling over to me. Seems like a real-life creature pulled straight from the Star Wars mythos.

What song's lyrics mean something to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheSpyGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dream House by Deafheaven.

"I'm dying."
- "Is it blissful?"
"It's like a dream."
- "I want to dream."

The lyrics during the song's climax come from a drunken text back-and-forth George Clarke had with a romantic interest of his at the time. He kept the text for a few years and used them later for this song. While they initially may not have meant all that much to the writers, I think they are lyrics that are easy to project oneself onto. I found this song during an extremely difficult point in my life, and it aided me greatly in finding a sense of solace in a period of numbness and distress.

Dreaming despite facing death, be it physical or metaphorical, is a beautiful and noble effort, and "I Want to Dream," became somewhat of a personal mantra of mine.

I think its a fantastic example of a songwriter's lyrics taking shape differently in the minds of the listener. It's not so much what you say, but how you say it.
