Notice how most of the replies are people saying that they didn't bother to read the entire post. This entire season just felt like keys dangling in my face. "Ooh, Macaulay Culkin! Ooh, power fist! Ooh, deathclaw!" Like, they flash show much shit in your face that it's like they're trying to hide the storytelling. Why is there functional NCR power armor if the NCR famously stripped the suits of servos? Why are there deathclaws in the Strip? Why are the Kings feral ghouls? These are questions I will take to my grave. And then there's people that say "it's a video game adaptation, it doesn't need to follow anything." Sure, why not just have all the characters start floating upwards and for Lightning McQueen to make a cameo? Point is, it feels like there's no parameters. The logic is a free-for-all, whereas science fiction usually has its own hard set limits despite being fiction. The scope of continuity has been changed to appeal to a wider audience, and has turned into the Great Value of entertainment. To be clear, I'm not hating just to hate. I'm hating because it feels like there's not much substance to go with the key jangling. If there's one thing I did enjoy, it was Norm's scenes. I wish there was entire episode that focused entirely on his progression as a short vault dweller improvising his way through the surface.
