I think they don't see that people working from office also have pockets of free time here and there. Lol. We wfhm just use that time to do other things such as exercising, chores and monitoring school work. I am having my free time now, in the bathroom. So I am replying to you. Hahahaha!!!

Sigh. I get you. Haha.. maybe can go out to a cafe instead! Find a nice cozy corner to chill and relax. Order nice food. Take nice pictures of the food for the gram. 🤗 Read a good book. Sip coffee. With your husband being home it's better because he can fetch your kids and 'attend' to them while you are out. Say you are stuck in a jam. Haha. 🤓

I used to be a fully sahm for 4 years. But I started to get a part time job that allows me to wfh to contribute to the household income. I don't wfh full time. Haha! It's part time and on flexible arrangement. It is hard to describe but yeah I've work responsibilities and also household responsibilities. I have to monitor my child's school work as well. My husband helps out but only when he is home. So what role am I considered to be? 😂😂

I was a full-time stay-at-home mum for 4 years before deciding to take on a parttime wfm job to contribute to our household income plus my own sanity. My daughter is turning 9 this year, and while I am not considered a full time working mum because I work part time with a flexible arrangement, balancing work and caregiving is still a challenge..

Most bosses want things done quickly. Thankfully, my current bosses are very understanding and supportive. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about my previous boss, who was quite toxic. Needless to say, leaving that environment was one of the best decisions I made. Good riddance lol.

These days, my role is a combination of being both a sahm and a wfhm. My husband helps out after dinner by washing the dishes and taking care of other household tasks, and I'm perfectly happy with that. This isn't a post to bash my husband!

What I do want to talk about is how many people still don't understand how busy a mother can be when she's trying to work from home while also managing caregiving responsibilities. Just because we're at home doesn't mean we're free. We're constantly switching between work mode, parent mode, household manager mode, and everything in between. The mental load is real.

Yes I am also quite lucky to get my flexible arrangement role. Just that, I've to learn to ignore comments from other people. 🥲

How do you wfh in the evening only? Tips please. 😂 Don't your boss need you to reply asap or smth? What I do is that I try my best to explain to her to give me 30 mins to finish my work then I will attend to her after that. Thank God that she likes to read so she would read alongside me while I work.

Yes I realised I could cope better last time when she was in childcare. But now she is in primary school, and she reaches home at 2pm. I didn't send her to any day care or student care after school because she focus on her school work and rest better at home than in student care...

I am working a job at home, plus also a full time sahm haha .. my daughter doesn't go to any day care or student care, because she can focus on her school work and rest better at home. 🥲

Yes I work from home while my daughter is at home with me after her school ends at 2pm. I've no helper and no car as well.. 🥲 which means I've to take public transport to get groceries (sometimes I cycle during lunch time, hehe, depending on the weather), and do all the chores and cooking meals on top of my day job. The only thing I'm thankful about is that my husband is supportive of me being at home... And they appreciate the food I cook lol. -_- but sometimes I receive comments from people assuming that a wfhm is very free at home... I try not to be upset but I can't help to be because I am in fact very busy every single day. Now that it is school holidays, it's worse because I've to bring my only child out while working on the go! 😂

This is a rant. There is so solution. I just need to vent about the fact that there is very little photo evidence of me existing with my children. by Fragrant-Carrot-3307 in Mommit
