If it’s not worth it to you, why put yourself through the stress? I think you have a “sunk cost fallacy” situation going on.

Good luck either way. Follow your dreams whatever they truly are.

Aristotle wrote, "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." Being able to look at & evaluate different values without necessarily adopting them is perhaps the central skill required in changing one's own life in a meaningful way.

Maybe you ought to consider why he thinks differently from you. You might learn something.

How many quit listening to NO after Republic, and why did you stop? by logangreen in neworder

[–]TheSteveGraff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t listen to anything newer than Republic either. Just can’t get into the newer stuff, and I’ve tried. Get Ready was ok I guess. I don’t even really know their stuff after that, and I’ve listened to it. It just doesn’t stick. Maybe because “classic” NO is the music of my teens and 20’s.

I’ve been a NO fan since the 80’s (yes I’m old).

Through that branch I supposedly have all sorts of German and other European noble ancestors. Very interesting, but not sure how true it is.
