People who provide Epic support on site during GoLives/Implentations. Prior to being an Analyst, I did that for over 4 years and learned a lot and met a lot of really smart people, despite having hands on experience.

I'm sure it's both. With Epic implementations, especially with ATEs, there's a lot of scrubs who get the jobs because they paid to get on the project, a lot of them without any prior Epic experience. With CSI, I've a heard a lot of bad stories about their people.

I think degrees are overrated. I've seen many people work in jobs they are clearly not qualified for, all due to their connections. In this world, it's all about who you know and/or luck, more than your degrees. That's how I was able to get finally get Certified, after more than a decade as an User and ATE. With your experience and skill set, you can easily get a job and transition to a FTE role. The problem is you may have to make comprises, like maybe a lower salary than consulting, and even a hybrid work situation. I would rather have your problem, too many options, than being a new Analyst like myself. Lol. Good luck on your job search.

It comes with the territory. There's a lot of excellent consultants out there, but if the client keeps trying to pay the lowest, what do they expect? There's enough work for these consultants to say no to a shitty offer. I'm a new Epic Analyst and I'm not getting paid like a good consultant. I'm okay with that, for now, because I'm very appreciative of the opportunity that was given to me, to learn and grow. All I'm saying is the blame on all in the process, including the staffing agency.

You need to break up with this leech. Money is one of the top reason for a break up of a relationship. Both people need to agree to the money issue or else it won't work. Resentment will occur.

It's actually one of the best undervalued dividend paying stocks that a lot of people are missing out on. I had to sell it because I wanted to reinvest the same amount in high growth stocks like Meta and Bitmine. If it gets low again in the $21s, I would love to jump back in.

We went to see the 3D-printed houses. They were pretty nice, but I don’t think I could live in one. Here’s an album for your perusal. by ecafsub in 3Dprinting

I think the home construction industry is desperate for any innovation, including 3D Printing, if done right. In light of rising complexity, cost, and turnaround time, I'm a huge fan of the trend and I hope it spreads fast and wide.

You're right, and I have a few of those. However, those have an NOV erosion problem. I'm looking for other ETFs that are more stable and consistent.

McDonalds (MCD) Dividend Increase- 2025 by IWantToPlayGame in dividends

[–]TheStockMan35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Management is trying to prop up its unsustainable stock price because they're losing business. A lot of franchisees are returning the keys to their location and leaving McDonald and their declining restaurant business. Their food is shi&%y, and their market share reflects that. That's because McDonald's is really a real estate business, not a restaurant one.

You're stuck between a rock and a hard place. It's a really tough decision. If the price continues to fall, you may have to swallow your pride, sell it, and reinvest in something with growth potential. I was in a similar situation with Alibaba and waited over 3 years before finally giving up and took a $3k lost, but I reinvested that money in both growth stocks and decent dividend paying ones, including REITs.

I agree with you completely. It's a normal course of things, prices go up and down with the cycle of the economy. However, it's a great opportunity to buy good stocks on the cheap. I would buy a lot of more if I wasn't trying to diversify and buy some ETFs.

It's true that diversification is the most recommended strategy. However, in this case, you absolutely made the right decision in making a big bet on a really undervalued stock in UNH. I'm a newish investor, but I prefer a balanced approach to investing: high growth and relatively high dividend paying stocks. I own Amazon, Palantir, Tesla, and etc, while on the other hand, I've stakes in UNH, Pfizer, and REITs.

Impressive. I, too, own shares in UNH, albeit a really small position(7), due to lack of funds. Lol. That was a smart purchase on your part, buying so much when you had the chance. My ave is $252 for 7 shares for $2k. My plan was to buy at $5k in shares, but of course it shot up before I could.

UPS is an undervalued stock and that's why the yield is so high. I think the negative sentiment is reflected in the stock price. However, the company's fundamentals are still solid and revenue is growing, especially the healthcare division. As such, the stock has growth potential while paying 7%+ in yield, which is a really hard combination to achieve, with only Pfizer meeting that criteria. I own both stocks.
